About this deal

In that light, Legend isn’t a fragrance that would help romantically seduce but create trust with clients and employers. Similarly, Legend is an all-day fragrance that doesn’t seem to be fixed to a particular time of day. It’s best suited for the daytime but would be absolutely fine in the evening and night. This leads onto our comments for the most suited occasion. As a rather mild and subdued fragrance, it would be perfect for the office. As it doesn’t have a character or strength that we be off-putting in close quarters, it would be great with colleagues and clients alike. So the souk was combed for Legend (Fierce?) alternatives: Platinum Egoiste? Too much suit, too little summer suit. Tous Man Intense? Cheaper and more durable, but even heavier than Egoiste (and even more orange than Fierce). Just Cavalli Him? Pleasing, beautiful depleted top note (paprika), but does not last. Legend Intense? See Tous Man. 701 from the blatant German scent copier? Like all fragrances offered there only 128 mBit (we understand each other). I find "Legend" quite intrusive, without being able to smell any fragrance. For me, a synthetic, bright-fresh fruit covers everything else here. It may be a pineapple extract, but it could be anything else. Underneath, discreet greenish and sweetish notes give the Klnke a hand. This undertaking may be well-intentioned, because it somehow looks like a bridge between old and young, classic and trendy, work and leisure ... Only unfortunately in my eyes it was not successful.

All these fragrances are very successful on their own and for each of them there are several traditions that they should be very well received by women. The resulting base consists of oak moss and tonka bean with a refreshing cedarwood finish. While the oak moss creates green notes of freshly-mown hay, the earthy tonka bean (or coumarin) gives off a slight vanilla note with a sweet finish. Legend’s Life-Cycle, Wake & Strength Aside from the head being drawn-out and lengthier than most fragrances, Legend’s structure follows that of a classic three-tiered aromatic fougère. Notes of lavender can be found in the head while oak moss and tonka bean are present in the base.On the whole, Mont Blanc Legend is a fragrance that can be worn all year. Nevertheless, there’s a small peak in mid-spring where its aromatic notes will be at their most appropriate. Otherwise, it’s a very versatile fragrance that can be worn at any time. Well, I don't know the much praised "Fierce" and it should stay that way if "Legend" is supposed to be practically its twin fragrance. Alleged romantic or not: with "Individuel", "Starwalker" and "Présence" I have three wonderful Montblanc fragrances, each with its own character, from fruity to fresh to sweet ... "Legend" unfortunately makes an exception for me and is - as so often - the proof that the truism "Kennste einen, kennste alle" in the fragrance world only very rarely applies.

However, most people found it particularly light and refreshing. In fact, a few comments were made in how versatile this would be for wearing to work. Combined with rose notes, it’s overtly floral, which draws out a sweet red apple aroma too. Interestingly, as the rose fades, the calone alters the apple instead. This transitions from a sugary red note to something greener and more acidic. Base Notes After statement and comment response I have to take a stand for the legend. Although the fragrance establishment says he has a shower gel synthetics and he can't shine in any discipline, I think he is really successful as a representative of his fragrance.Montblanc Legend, Le Beau Male by Jean Paul Gaultier, Dior Homme Eau for Men, even the Axe Apollo Body Spray and Shower Gel, all these scents have a certain opening that I would call a "Deospray" chord. Overall, there didn’t seem to be any demographic that liked or disliked Mont Blanc Legend in particular. The results were somewhat scattered with no visible correlation .

Be that as it may, SO Legend is just as persistent, but at the same time lighter and more multi-faceted, though at the same time actually a bit more synthetic. Following the intentions mentioned above, Legend is a fresh fragrance featuring a number of aromatic notes. Despite its loaded fruity components and aquatic touch, it’s built around a distinctively fougère frame. Therefore, sits closest to the Aromatic Fougère fragrance family. Head Notes Legend is therefore actually an interesting fragrance for me, because you can follow the development of the "Fougere" genre of the last 30 years a little: Firstly, no-one seems to dislike Legend. In fact, it’s generally well-received. If anything, the largest complaint from those testing the fragrance is that it’s somewhat weak and hard to detect. I have to admit that Montblanc Legend is - the longer I look at it - more interesting than I initially thought. Montblanc Legend is a "Fierce" scent, a copy of Abercrombie's "Fierce".

Closing Thoughts

Finally, we’d say that although Legend is conventionally masculine, it certainly isn’t strong. Thanks to the fruit and almost aquatic notes, it’s much more moderate . That is not to say that the fragrance is linear but it follows a very conventional sequence of structured aromas.

Although a note typically found in the head, there is a distinctive calone presence in the heart. A component usually found in aquatic fragrances, this aldehyde is rather fatty and creates an ozone breeziness. Legend features a crisp head by opening on sharp verbena and lemon notes. These citrus tones linger while hints of lavender and pineapple begin to emerge. Whilst the latter notes are somewhat faint compared to the citrus scent, they are present enough to create a more rounded opening. Heart Notes I still have the aviator of Paris Bleu, but I don't have much hope (and at the moment it doesn't seem to be that easy to get, even though it's cheap). First of all: I have never actually smelled "Fierce" by Abercrombie, but I'm sure I know what to expect when I smell it, there are many scents that can be compared to it:However, it’s not an overly strong fragrance. Firstly, the sillage is quite weak and only gives a tight trial of a few centimetres from the body. When stationary, the projection is tight but noticeable from a decent range. In the beginning there was Cool Water / Green Irish Tweed, then came Fierce / Montblanc Legend, then came fragrances a la Bleu de Chanel and Sauvage from Dior. And Aventus by Creed moves somewhere in between, between a very classic base as you can find it in Cool Water, but away from the aquatic to the smoky leathery. I have to conclude by saying that Montblanc Legend is nothing special to me now about perfume as an art, but the craftsmanship, the composition behind this fragrance is very solid and the quality you get for the Zwanni that you have to flip through the net for it is really excellent What I have dared with this fragrance is: Layering with Dior Homme. If you lay Dior Homme and Montblanc Legend, you get relatively close to Dior Homme Eau for Men, but somehow better. However, it’s a shame that the metal shoulder isn’t fixed properly onto the bottle and tends to wiggle quite easily. Similarly, the atomiser is quite tough and when only lightly pressed, sprays like a water gun rather than a mist. With regards to the age best suited to wear this fragrance, we’d place it as an ideal choice for someone in their thirties. However, it could also be worn by a young professional in their mid to late twenties.
