Each Plastic Shim measures 9 x 12.5” and has been created to work with the Gemini ll Die Cutting and Embossing Machine specifically. You can choose to have a manual or electric Gemini machines. The Gemini Junior is excellent at intricate die cuts however it can be frustrating and fiddle when the die wont 'release' the beautiful intricate die-cut you have just created! Our top tip is to buy yourself a brush tool and foam pad. You simply place the die on the foam pad and roll over the bristles from the brush which will gently poke the die-cut out. A die cutting machine uses a combination of rollers and cutting plates to put pressure on a die and card or paper to create a shape with neat and precise outlines – the finished shape is called a die cut. The larger size of the Gemini Pro offers enhanced die cutting and embossing capabilities, as you can cut all elements for a smaller project in one go!
