The DadPad was developed with the NHS to give new dads the skills and confidence to give the best care to their newborn, and the best support to their partner. There is also a resource for co-parents (LGBTQ+ non-birthing parents) being prepared by DadPad and available to new and expectant families in Stoke in early 2023. Rowena Chilton, Head of Midwifery at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, said: 'It’s fantastic news that DadPad has launched across our maternity services. This 36 pages long guide is incredibly practical, with wipe-clean pages full of easy-to-use, supportive advice. The DadPad was created because babies don’t come with a set of instructions, and dads told us they wanted important information on what to expect and how to care for their baby.Your local maternity services have partnered up with DadPad to provide free access to the tailored app for Dads in Kent and Medway.

Stoke-on-Trent City Council has worked with the NHS Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust and DadPad to launch the easy-to-use, freely downloadable resource for new dads and dads-to-be. Crucially, the app provides dads with guidance on how to support and seek help (when needed) for their partners and themselves as they adjust to their new roles. The Cornish and Scillonian themed ‘Dad Pad’ recognises the important role dads play in bringing up their children and supporting mum. From the start, the DadPad® has been working with mums, dads, Health Visitors, Midwives and Public Health Teams to provide the most relevant and accurate information available, and continues to do so. DadPad is designed to reduce anxiety in a number of ways, for example, by helping dads gain confidence by getting involved with their baby’s care, as well as learning how to create a strong bond and build stronger family relationships. Devon County Council is responsible for the writing, publishing and updating of the content on this page. The DadPad app is packed with information to give new fathers guidance on how to develop the confidence and practical skills needed to help look after their babies’ physical and emotional needs. Dads living in Barnsley can now benefit from a new app, DadPad, that provides practical advice on how they can support themselves, their partner and their baby, giving their child the best start in life.
