About this deal
Also gone with the 13-inch MacBook Pro is the Touch Bar, which now cannot be bought on any Apple product. In fact, many people find that coding on a smaller screen is easier because it forces you to be more concise and organized.

For comparison, the last MacBook Pro to come with an Intel processor, the MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020), scored just eight hours and 31 minutes in the same test, highlighting just how good the M2 is. However, the improvement over M1 is notable, jumping to more than 50 frames per second (fps) compared to the just-playable mid-30’s scored by the M1-equipped MacBook Air, and the only slightly better performance of the M1 MacBook Pro 13-Inch.
Both models come with the same M1 chip with an 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU, and storage can be configured up to 2TB. For a fair MacBook review, we had to take these claims with a hefty dose of salt, as Apple is a bit vague about some of its tests, and when it comes to GPU performance it’s comparing this to a base MacBook Pro 13-inch from the previous generation, which uses an older 8th-generation Intel processor with integrated graphics.

Like the Spectre 14, this 13-inch version has a bright display, a comfortable keyboard, epic battery life, and one of the most striking designs we've ever seen on a laptop. The M2 also has more memory bandwidth, which is now 100GB/s (compared to 68GB/s), so even if you get an 8GB or 16GB version, it’ll have faster memory than the same amount with an M1 system. Throughout our time with the laptop, we were impressed with its silence, with the fans rarely kicking in to keep things cool.

The base model is a bit more modest, with the same Apple M2 eight-core processor and 10 GPU cores, but only 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD for storage. With the benefit of sustained performance, the MacBook Pro is a more capable 13-inch laptop than the MacBook Air but not as good of a value.
