The handle has a Orchid Purple panel on the front that contains icons that illuminate to show which cleaning mode is in use. I would say the hassle of rewiring a plug vs obtaining an adapter is less for many? Is it really safer? It’s a slim handled and lightweight toothbrush, ideally suited to travel, available in different colour options. The heads lay in the compartment and a lid, which is Blue in colour can be closed over the top to protect the heads from splashes and damage, but with cutouts for ventilation, so the heads dry out. Battery life is also solid for a budget brush, while it takes just four hours for a recharge. Most importantly, though, this is a big step up in cleaning from manual brushes or cheaper battery models, and you can kit out the whole family without breaking the bank. Not an electrician in any sense of the word… just want my toothbrushes to charge and can’t find a “shaver” 2 pin to 3 pin adapter sold now which doesn’t have the extra short 1 amp fuse. It’s basic, with just one setting, but you do get a timer, with the brush pulsing every 30 seconds and switching itself off after two minutes. We also like the unusual pink, blue and yellow colour choices.The greatest benefit comes from using the app in real-time as it shows you what areas of the mouth you have and have not brushed. Thus, you can take corrective action immediately. A good tip to ensure long term reliability and performance from your brush is to discharge the brush completely every 6 months and then recharge it fully. Such activity helps ensure a long battery life. It is also worth noting that if you need to use the brush and it has not finished charging this is fine.
