Release delayed due to Series 7B still being broadcast in New Zealand at the time of the Australian release. The Complete Seventh Series box set was released as a limited edition book case with a raised TARDIS cover (BBCBD0251). In the UK, both versions included a redeemable Ultraviolet copy of all episodes in the series. A Steelbook version (BBCBD0517) was released in 2020.As there are 6 full stories completely missing (Marco, myth, massacre, savages, smugglers (possibly animated for this year), highlanders) and 5 stories with 1/2/3 episodes in storage (crusade, dmp, celestial (possibly animated for the 60th), wheel and space). O It consisted of six serials comprised of twenty-two episodes. This was notable for the degree to which it varied from its original plans. It had been commissioned as a 28-part series, and the intent was that it would have actually been broadcast towards the end of 1982. Producer John Nathan-Turner had hoped to use season 20 as a way to reverse the January-March broadcast of season 19. Thus, he had initially obtained permission to record and broadcast season 20 in 1982, thus making season 21 broadcast over the milestone 23 November 1983. What I’m saying is that I believe fans want one single Collection set of Doctor Who, have confidence to invest into the main product, knowing it is the best content. For me, that’s having confidence that, even if I get spelling errors or picture / sound blips, at least I could have access to reprint discs identical to the later standards. Unfortunately with Season 18, that’s simply not the case, you have to buy both editions.

D84. But I heard somewhere the rights for physical media distribution run out for series 1 soon with regards to uec. So would it not be bumped up the list so it doesn’t effect its release if left for later down the line? Season 24 only had Limited and Standard out at the same time due to poor sales. Too many more instances of that and then BBC may pull the plug so I wouldn’t be praising that if I were you, if you want them to complete all sets and possibly do Wilderness etc. It is possible that the next release is either the Smugglers or the Celestial Toymaker, but not bothwithin months of each other. Of the rumours around the animation and release of these stories, one might be true but not both. There would need to be a third animation studio or of CT, tS or UM, one would have been made at least a year ago and the release delayed by 12 months or so – delaying a return on the work.

All serials of season 20 were released individually on DVD between 1999 and 2011, with The Five Doctors being the first ever serial released on DVD. For early BD releases, 2|entertain chose to produce a single master for all markets. They decided to convert the 1080i50 broadcast masters to 1080i60, to ensure the discs were compatible in both regions.
