About this deal

Night sequences do flatten a bit compared to interiors and daytime sequences (mostly thanks to digital atmosphere effects), but black levels are inky -- not a hint of crush -- while shadow details remain impressive. Couple that with the early trailer footage, 'The Avengers' looked like it was going to be a very expensive TV movie. Again though, that grizzly 3D conversion spoils the platter with it's presence, dropping the sharpness levels and dimming the brightness, not to the point of it being unbearable, but close enough to be irritating. Never so wide of the mark that it's bad though, and it didn't spoil anything at all for me, but probably worth noting for good measure.

Bestselling 3D puzzle brand worldwide - Our 3D jigsaw puzzles make ideal gifts for boys and great gifts for girls. On average, 7% of this group cited 3D as the reason they wanted to see a film, according to Comscore's PostTrak audience survey. For example, 22% of kids said that they wanted to see "The Angry Birds Movie" because of 3D, 12% of parents said they wanted to see "The Crimes of Grindelwald" for the 3D, and 14% of general movie audiences wanted to see "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" for this reason. When it comes to video presentation, it will come as no surprise to you when I say, right off the bat - don't bother with the 3D version of this movie. That's the question many Marvel fans are facing as we reach the opening weekend of the hotly anticipated superhero flick.Ultimately though, if you like 3D, there really should be nothing stopping you from seeing this in 3D, particularly given the myriad screenings as well as the quality of the 3D conversion. Joss Whedon made a fantastic adventure film that expertly blends action and character and tone to assembling one of the best super hero films in the history of the genre ('The Avengers' is also a rocking good movie, regardless of the "superhero" label).

With a seamless blend between digital cinema elements and computer generated visual effects, expectations are high for this 3D Blu-ray release. We recently learned that Star Trek 2 will be post-converted to 3D as well, and our opinion on that news pretty much carries over to this latest situation: When planned for and handled with meticulous care, post-conversion 3D isn't all that bad (see: Harry Potter Deathly Hallows: Part 2). I should note I also saw the film on a Superscreen DLX (similar to IMAX but a little smaller), which meant I had a bigger screen than some 3D moviegoers, and your experience could vary a little because of that. I'm happy to report 'The Avengers' generally meets those expectations, though there are a few flaws. Paul Dergarabedian, senior analyst at Comscore, noted that the success of 3D is very content-centric.Dimensionality is wonderful most of the time, like you're looking through your TV into another world. Lastly, while ghosting issues are dependent on one's equipment, 'The Avengers' contains moderate ghosting with pointy objects protruding from the screen. In teaming up for a selfless, impossible cause, these damaged, detailed characters will each take steps forward to being the best version of themselves possible. agreeing with those who question why he of all people was chosen to direct such a humongous production.
