Picked up it starts with us ( funnily enough I actually hadn’t heard all the hype around it, I wasn’t one who had book tok come up on my fyp) however this thrust me back into the world of reading that am I so grateful for!

It’s a story about feeling loved for the first time and giving the love you believe others deserve from you. You have to either figure out a way to plan birthday parties together or figure out a way to be okay with having separate celebrations.Instead of waking her up, Atlas occupies himself by reading some of the journal entries that Lily wrote about Atlas when they were kids. Atlas is (maybe) the most unproblematic Colleen Hoover Hero, but imo that also makes him the most boring one. While playing with the sweet idea of a reunited first love, Hoover makes the struggle of relationships clear: You always have to work towards love.

However, It Starts with Us was a disappointing read and I would only encourage those who are purely interested in Lily's relationship with Atlas to read it. And in fact, to spell out Lily's future in the way that this sequel did took something away from the difficulty of Lily's decision at the end of the first book. EDIT: although it was a CoHo fan who posted about zlibrary on tiktok, it apparently wasnt CoHo hersel Y’all can say anything nasty about Ryle and I would completely agree, but you also have to admit that this guy is nothing but ✨ consistent ✨ in his abusive behavior. his texts to Lily even made me laugh… Lily, sweetie I’m sorry but your ex-husband humor is immaculate 🤡🏃🏻‍♀️ Ryle kept me on my toes, cause I never knew what else would come out of his mouth or what would happen at the mercy of his fist.atlas talking and defending himself about the age he and lily had sex was really breaking the fourth wall. The novel continues from where It Ends with Us ended and centers on the relationship between Lily and Atlas. The author's talent for creating nuanced and empathetic characters is on full display, and fans will be especially excited to finally hear Atlas's side of the story. This is a book that will completely change your life forever even if you've never been through what the characters have.

Let me start by saying this: there’s going to be a lot of hate for this book for the sole reason people just want to dislike this author for their popularity and there’s this hate train going on for the littlest things this author does so I already know people are going to just come out of the woodworks and find the tiniest thing to hate on this.Controversial to most I read both books with the thought of Blake Lively being Lily and I think it is a near perfect casting. Atlas takes Josh to see his father but Josh decides after watching his father from the car that he wants to live with Atlas.
