About this deal

One thing that makes the Armada 27 stand out (along with its smaller Armada 25 sibling) is the inclusion of a gaming mount for attaching the monitor to your desk instead of a traditional stand. This gives customers greater flexibility in positioning the Armada 27 for height, swivel and tilt.

But something to consider with the M32UC's blend of resolution and refresh rate is that even a high-end GPU won't always make the most of it. That's what makes the M32UC's FreeSync capabilities so crucially important. Keeping this panel in sync with your graphics card when it's underthe max refresh rate of the screen, as it is likely going to be at times, prevents a whole lot of screen tearing. The gaming performance despite the panel performance initially was very good. I found that there was fluid gameplay even in fast moving situations. Overall, great response time. The refresh rate was really great paired with AMD FreeSync. When it comes to monitors, there are two main types: standard external speakers and monitor speakers. They are typically better quality speakers that are included with the monitor and are more optimized for gaming, studying, and other activities. When it comes to monitor speakers, standard external speakers are significantly less expensive.

I was concerned that the size of the monitor was too small for 1440p resolution, but at arm’s length the viewing distance is perfect for normal (100%) scaling within Windows, and the image still plenty large enough to enjoy for gaming. The pixel density is just enough that the additional render load of 1440p is justified, as I doubt 4K would look significantly better at 27” for how much strain it puts on a graphics card. Versatile connectivity: With HDMI and DisplayPort ports, you can easily connect the LC-Power gaming monitor to different devices and enjoy a limitless audio-visual experience. Gaming performance across the board is excellent with the NG17FGQ, and it can produce some amazing colors once the panel is calibrated. Its overall good build quality also means that it should stand up to the rigors of behind tossed around in a bag while traveling. There are no speakers in the house. No, it’s just a landscape (horizontal) application that needs to be installed with a base. VESA mounting threads are located on the rear side (100mm x 100 mm standard), so if you have a monitor arm and you want to use it in portrait (rather than vertical) orientation, you’ll need to disassemble it. Element Monitors: The Best Quality For Your Money For starters, Asus has endowed the ROG Swift PG27AQDM with a 26.5-inch OLED panel. While Mini LED panels have become very good in recent years, OLED panels are still superior when it comes to contrast. Not only does the panel offer a wide and accurate color gamut, but the overall image quality is simply stunning. A single 240Hz 4K monitor would be pretty special. But double that resolution running at such a high refresh rate is genuinely unprecedented. Indeed, it's so novel that only AMD's latest RDNA 3-powered Radeon RX 7000 Series GPU can hit the full 240Hz courtesy of their DisplayPort 2.1 interfaces. Nvidia's RTX 40-series GPUs are limited to DP 1.4 can only do 120Hz.

This Dell monitor is most importantly available at a great price. Dell delivers high-quality gaming panels, with all the features you need and a few extraneous ones to bump up the price. And that makes it one of the best gaming monitors for most PC gamers today. High speed OLED gaming monitors are finally legit. That's thanks in no small part to Alienware's impressive AW324DW QD-OLED, with plenty of other brands following suit. Among them, Asus has unleashed the ROG Swift PG42UQ OLED, a 41.5-inch behemoth that legitimately could be the only monitor you'll ever need for the foreseeable future of gaming. Leveraging the same panel from the LG C2 OLED TV, the Swift PG42UQ adds on higher refresh rate, an anti-glare coating, DisplayPort 1.4 and more gaming monitor accoutrements. There are many great gaming monitors out there, but only an elite few are good enough to earn our Editor’s Choice award and a five-star rating. However, the Asus ROG Swift PG27AQDM is one of the monitors for a good reason. Then you have the 144hz which is amazing if you have a GPU that can for the majority of the time push past 60FPS, otherwise there is no point upgrading unless you are looking to upgrade your GPU in the future, but then again, would you be going for AMD or Nvidia, it is a choice you have to make for yourself. I have a 1080TI and can easily push past 60fps with all games running at 1080p so I get the benefit of a 144hz screen. However, my AMD rig does not push past 60FPS so the benefit of having 144hz is not worth it.

This Alienware does have a brightness limiter, but it's far less aggressive than on most LG-equipped monitors and you barely notice it happening. More to the point, this monitor always looks punchy, which you absolutely cannot say of monitors with LG OLED tech.
