About this deal

Fowler: I only went in on the landing pad, and I am pleasantly surprised with how beefy it is. It’s got one loose big piece and a big chunky sprue for the sides and staircase. Lots of similar design elements from Sector Mechanicus and Zone Mortalis terrain here. Assembly If you want to see what it’s like to fight as a member of the Adepta Sororitas, add the VR game Battle Sister to your wishlist on Steam. It contains rules for the following Kill Teams (the list notes in parenthesis when a Kill Team has had an update in an expansion or article):

The rules for this kill team can be found in the Ashes of Faith book or in the Kill Team Annual 2023. You can read our guide for these mutated monstrosities here. Hearthkyn Salvager Hallowed Ground sees the famous witch hunter duo Galen and Doralia ven Denst coming to terms with the culmination of the siege of Excelsis. When Galen disappears into the wilds of Ghur, his daughter sets off on his trail, but what secret is the veteran seeking? The Moroch campaign book with rules for both kill teams in the box, as well as rules for playing campaigns and other battles in the Moroch Killzone The easiest way to guarantee your copy of the ultimate Warhammer magazine is by grabbing a subscription .

Where Are The Rules For The Kill Team Factions?

Even more fun is their upgrade sprue, which houses enough parts to make 10 distinct kinds of operative, ranging from the relic-bearing Novitiate Pronatus to the Novitiate Exactor with her twin neural whips. When I first saw that there were only 7 pieces of scenery in this box, I remember thinking that it seemed a bit frugal. “Only seven little bits of ruined wall? Pshaw.” Taken in tandem with a box like Octarius, it adds a significant amount of content to any budding Kill Team collection. Of course, if you don’t own a copy of Octarius, you’re going to be short a few of the things you need to actually play the game, such as the Core Book and the accursed Compendium, the latter of which which didn’t come with Octarius either. I’m beginning to really appreciate these double-sided gaming boards. Just having that pop of colour beneath the bases of your figures can make all the difference when playing a game. Kill Team Octarius is the launch box for the latest edition of Kill Team. It's a limited edition product, so won't be on sale forever. Octarius is a themed box, featuring two specific kill teams and some tie-in warzone scenery. Other themed sets will follow like this, but might not include the Core Book and accessories.

Phobos Kill Team – the first bespoke Space Marine kill team, but consists of already released models and a pretty bland upgrade sprue. Fun to play, though – our guide is on its way. The Kill Team Compendium is a supplement containing the rules and datacards for nineteen different factions to use in Kill Team, so if you already have miniatures from Warhammer 40,000, this will allow you to start playing with them straight away.

DYLON: Oh boy, this is a hefty box. I actually thought to myself that I’d want to keep this box around for storage purposes, it’s that nice. It also happens to be full of plastic sprues, with the card boards at the bottom. The box doesn’t give you the full rules for the game, and while it does have two full kill teams, the rest of the box is more of an appetizer for the real game. Die-hard Kill Team fans and veterans, this is a box for you. Expensive though it may be, Kill Team: Chalnath is a promising step towards a bright future for Games Workshop expansion content. Sure, there are some fiddly bits amidst the models and scenery, but the end results can’t be argued with. As a box of miniatures alone, this would be an impressive (albeit pricey) release, but that it comes with all the literary content you require to take your games of the new edition of Kill Team to the next level makes Chalnath an excellent release. Warhammer 40,000 Kill Team: Chalnath Review – Introduction This book has rules for most of the 40k factions, but beware that much of it has been replaced by expansions or White Dwarf articles. fighting the Close Quarters battles of the Into the Dark season, as well as for the missions and campaign scenarios specific to the Into the Dark box (read our campaign guide here)
