About this deal

At first I had mixed feelings but after repeat readings, and seeing how intently he listens to it, I've kind of fallen in love with this book.

Be Brave Bears is a charitable organisation run by volunteers who send personalised keepsake bears to children who are terminally ill or have life limiting conditions. As a leading web development agency serving Staffordshire’s major towns, including Stoke-on-Trent, Tamworth, Stafford, Burton-upon-Trent, and Cannock, we are passionate about all things digital. I can’t see it becoming a family heirloom, unlike many of the books we bought for our children long ago which are back in use again now (Shirley Hughes, Helen Oxenbury, the Ahlbergs, etc. With thanks to Helen at Walker Books who provided me with the sample book in exchange for my honest review. This book would be a good story to read to your own child as opposed to in the classroom, but the beautiful artwork and masterful facial expressions are touching in any situation. In 1993, he came across a newspaper article which reported that a goat slaughtered in Iran had been found to have teeth made of gold. Very easy to deal with and they were more than happy to implement any changes we needed post completion.

His picture books include the bestselling 'Hoot Owl, Master of Disguise' illustrated by Jean Jullien. If you don't look at your toddler and think "you do this same stuff" then your kid is perfect and this book isn't for you.In this delightful picturebook which sees Hoot Owl, Master of Disguise Sean Taylor and Wild Emily Hughes partner up to tell a story of a young bear and his father and their descent to the water of a hot day. Their journey is delineated in words and pictures as they travel through terrain covered with grass and bushes and jump from rock to rock until they reach their destination. The little bear and his dad set off on a hot day for the cool river, but on the way they meet various obstacles.

It is both sad and scary that this topic even needs to be addressed, but the awareness is so needed and so important. Brave Bear Trust works to educate and inform children (especially Key Stage 2) about the risks of exploitation and how to protect themselves and others. Another is through feeling, which is harder to set; she tries to do this by using expression, body language and colour. Bears are a popular subject for picture books, and this one stands out a little with a different colour palette, a new look to the bears and wooded setting, and a sweet little adventure story on a hot day.

This could then lead onto describing, drawing or writing about a time where they felt they were brave. It’s hot so a little bear suggests to his dad that they should go to the river to cool down and dad agrees. It does this by publishing a range of educational materials and training resources for children, parents and carers, teachers, supportive adults and professionals who work with them. A small bear tells us his story about a hot day and an adventure he goes on with his dad in the woods. We seek to engage, educate, empower and equip children to know how to keep themselves and others safe from exploitation.

But what will happen when Little Bear tries to impress his dad by doing a big jump across the rocks? Once, during carnival in Brazil, he dressed up as Robin Hood and fired arrows with poems on into the crowd. Trading Address (Warehouse) Unit E, Vulcan Business Complex, Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE5 3EB. The capes come in a range of colours and our Brave Bear teddies are either white (pictured) or a light brown.

When I first received and read this book, for whatever reason I was not keen on it and gave it a poor review. My 6yr old read this with ease, and said we'll save this when (our 3yr old niece) comes around mummy and I can read it to her. This lovely book captures the languid mood of a hot day along with the easy rhythms of a sweet father-child connection.
