About this deal

The facts describe a likely loser: a mysterious woman found with a bullet in her head in a torched Cadillac that has overturned on infamously treacherous Mulholland Drive. No physical evidence, no witnesses, no apparent motive. And a slew of detectives have already worked the case and failed. But as Delaware and Sturgis begin digging, the mist begins to lift. Too many coincidences. Facts turn out to be anything but. And as they soon discover, very real threats lurking in the present. My practice, and this Pavilion, is centred around amplifying and collaborating with multiple and diverse voices from many different histories; with an interest in themes of identity, community, belonging and gathering. The past year has drawn these themes sharply into focus and has allowed me the space to reflect on the incredible generosity of the communities that have been integral to this Pavilion. This has given rise to several initiatives that extend the duration, scale and reach of the Pavilion beyond its physical lifespan. In a time of isolation, these initiatives have deepened the Pavilion’s intents toward sustained collaboration, and I am excited to continue this engagement with the Serpentine’s civic and education teams and our partners over the summer and beyond.” The landscape of today’s Hyde Park remains much as it has been since Queen Caroline’s innovative relandscaping. This book is the perfect accompaniment to the smash-hit BBC true crime drama and paints a portrait of a master manipulator psychopath who still resides in jail to this day.

Since its inception, the Pavilion has become an established home for Serpentine’s Live Programmes. This year the Pavilion will also host a specially commissioned sound programme Listening to the City that features work by artists including Ain Bailey and Jay Bernard, connecting visitors to the stories and sounds of selected London neighbourhoods. The design process has also extended into thinking through more equitable, sustainable and imaginative institutional structures by creating Support Structures for Support Structures, a grant and fellowship programme that supports artists who work in, support and hold communities in London through their work. Down beside the Serpentine Lake, you may notice a cascading waterfall, and close by is a true garden-lovers’ delight – The Dell. Walk by this secluded ‘garden-within-a-garden’ in spring and you’ll be rewarded with a meadow of early flowers. You’ll also discover an alpine meadow, and the wonderfully named Nannie’s Lawn, where Edwardian nannies were said to wheel their prams. The wilder side of Hyde Park Thompson received the National Headliner Award for investigative reporting. He was also the 1977 Edgar Award winner for Blood and Money. Hyde Park is one of the world’s most famous parks. Known not just for its landscape and history but also as a cradle of free speech. Hyde Park and the Tudors Thompson first wrote Western stories for pulp magazines in 1940 after stints as a sailor, a nightclub entertainer, a secretary and a furniture salesman. He later published hundreds of articles in national general-interest magazines and wrote 25 Western novels, including “Range Drifter,” “Shadow of the Butte” and “Bitter Water.” (latimes.com)The Serpentine Lido is home to Britain’s oldest open water swimming club, but you don’t have to join the club to swim here. From May to September, anyone can take a dip on a warm day at this gorgeous lido location – plus you can get a fantastic hot chocolate afterwards at the Serpentine Lido Café. Don't worry about etiquette, I think swimmers are very welcoming. However, I asked the Royal parks dude to put up a bit more info for non-locals like us. But Hyde Park remained a private park until James I came to the throne in 1603 – he opened the gates to a well-heeled group of courtiers and socialites, making the park a rather exclusive club. This all changed in 1637 when King Charles I opened the park to the general public. Hyde Park and the Stuarts
