About this deal

I just hope its going to be a tad more reliable than the last box we had which was very hit and miss. As you say if you use the 14-day EPG option on the TUTV PVRs then this should not apply, you either get all or nothing. Other than this minor annoyance, I'm very happy with the PVR, and am eagerly looking forward to mid-week when the transition to digital broadcasts is completed. This includes items that are defective in ways that render them difficult to use, items that require service or repair, or items missing essential components. It is quite particular about the disk it will accept : it has to spin up within a certain time or it is rejected (ignored).

This may well be the case with 9150T a well, because Humax have managed to transfer most of the features (good or bad) across to the 9150. If my box is in standby I find Accurate Recording on Humax terrestrial reasonable enough to be useful.

You can schedule each from the programme guide in the time-honoured fashion, padding either the start and stop times to ensure you don't miss a beat. We have found the information provided by this company absolutely useless and they are not sure what is going. It is an old box but is still liked by some despite some disadvantages and not working as well as when it first was sold over 10 years ago and being based on a model that is now 15 years old. They have obviously fixed this probalm as I have the box in my bedroom and have never noticed any noise and I have perfect hearing! Saying that there's a great little button, second row up at the very bottom of the remote, third from the left, that fast forward's instantly 30 seconds, press that 6 times and you skip the adverts, magic!

Seriously though, cheers for this, and yes I have the requisite piles of phono leads to dig one out from! Millions of people would have to double their incomes to escape financial hardship, says anti-poverty charity Joseph Rowntree Foundation in a new report published today. Switching off a PVR (instead of putting it in stand-by) defeats most of the point of having a PVR and (like any other Freeview receiver) it will take quite a while to reload the entire EPG when switched back on.The PVR's user interface has all the graphical charm of an NES platformer, which we quite like, in a retro way.

One annoying thing with it is that it needs about 4 button-pushes to get the list of recorded material. Gran, being Gran uses the numeric pad, she press's 1, to get BBC1 and 5, to get Five and she's happy. We at Asco Centre undergo a comprehensive quality control process by our engineers, testing each item for functionality and condition of the set. A maximum of 100 hours of TV programmes can be recorded by the device, which can be viewed later at ease. Note the 9150 does not have a modulator, so viewing its output on a second TV will need extra equipment.smig65 - oddly enough I found this page whilst looking for help with my own (new, less than a week old) PVR-9150T skipping sometimes. Or take the hard disk out, put it in a windows computer, find special software and instructions on the internet to repair the index. literally have the box in front of me here at work - bought to replace my bricked Sagem (POC) and wondered if I need to upgrade SW, change any options etc? It is noticeable whilst the PVR is switched on which encourages you to switch it off if you don’t have to be using it – another good reason for using the aerial loop through.
