The mini biography and timeline at the end are missing in my e-galley, which is disappointing. I always find these books don't give me quite enough information, and I rely on those bits at the end to help fill in some of the gaps. Overall, this isn't one of the best books in this series, but it isn't one of the worst, either. I think it'll mostly appeal to kids who know who David Attenborough is, though; the book, unfortunately, doesn't make him come across as all that interesting (perhaps because there's no mention of conflict or of anything that he had to overcome). The sights and smells. The touch and sounds within the environment, the chance to meet and understand animals in their own environment. What an adventure this was to explore! This book is a great way to introduce young readers to the world of David Attenborough. It is inspiring and motivational for all ages of readers despite it being aimed at babies and toddlers. After reading it I had a strong urge to get outside and explore.Quizzes like these are great for kids and adults to enjoy together. They are a fun way to learn about the world around them, as well as having a bit of friendly family competition! So why not get your quiz on and see who comes out on top? David Attenborough Fun Facts Not only does the fact file teach learners all about Attenborough’s amazing life, but it’s also a great way to develop their reading skills too! Why not have children work in pairs to read the fact file and come up with some questions for their partner to answer? What an engaging way to develop critical thinking and comprehension skills! While the pictures themselves are stronger here than in some other books in the series, I'm not a fan of the random animals just appearing (sometimes anthropomorphized) in most of the illustrations. I would expect something a little more factual in a biography about a naturalist. (Also, there's a picture at the end that's supposed to be present day, yet he's drawn to look like a young man.)This is a book I will certainly consider for use in the classroom, perhaps with our eco-council and when learning about different parts of the natural world using clips from Attenborough documentaries. This book would be a great addition to everyone’s library. It is a great way to introduce children to David Attenborough and issues of the environment. This book also lends itself nicely to introducing children to reading for meaning and comprehension. Would you like even more fun activities like this? I liked this story as I’m a big fan of Sir David. I think he has done such wonderful things in educating and bringing awareness to the people of the world; where animals and the environment is concerned. This book perfectly compliments that in a way for young children to understand and learn from.

Join David Attenborough on a remarkable journey into the natural world and discover fascinating facts about this renowned naturalist and broadcaster: Little People, Big Dreams: David Attenborough Quiz. Put children’s knowledge to the test with this fun and easy to use PowerPoint which is filled with trivia on the climate change activist and broadcasting legend. I've read many books from the Little People, Big Dreams series by Isabel Sánchez Vegara, but I believe this is my favourite so far. And I can pinpoint exactly why: This persons history- David Attenborough's - resonates with me. So far, I found the stories entertaining and enjoyed that I was learning new things, which is always a plus. But a person wishing to spend their life with animals I can understand. At this point in time, I think it's pretty safe to say that most British adults know of David Attenborough’s ceaseless and important work in the nature and environmental field, and this is rightly what has cemented his status as a living legend and one of our most revered national treasures; however, our little ones perhaps do not recognise and/or comprehend his status. In this fantastic series known as Little People, Big Dreams, children are memorably introduced to some of the most renowned characters from across a whole spectrum of areas and introducing those who may go on to inspire our kids to strive to achieve great things themselves. This is by far the most solid, interesting and well-rounded of all of the books that feature in the series, and I would characterise it as a must-read for those heading somewhat towards their formative years on our humble planet. My only slight criticism would be that the image of David Attenborough 'today' with his concerns for ocean pollution looks as young as the image when he graduates from university, and I feel that for many young readers an image of him as an older man would be more familiar. As well as this David Attenborough Quiz, we have more David Attenborough activities here. You can also take a look at these David Attenborough Colouring Sheets. Other Quizzes Some may judge that someone like David Attenborough was born into privilege which gave him an unfair advantage. So, he started working in television, visiting animals in their natural habitats and telling the world the untold stories of these animals. Little David went on to become one of the most celebrated environmentalists on the planet , teaching generation after generation about the importance of the natural world. He has explored remote and breathtaking locations, from the depths of the oceans to the peaks of mountains, to document the diversity of life on Earth.
