About this deal

Loved this review! I have a feeling I’ll be exactly the same way after I finish it. I just got my copy in the mail, and plan on binge reading until I finish the whole thing tonight! A) I loved this book! Though I do agree about the ending being rather rushed. Still, though. AWESOME. So basically Ignite Me pretty much starts off where Unravel Me leaves off with Juliette getting shot and Omega Point being destroyed. She’s clued in to what has happened and now Juliette becomes even more determined to take down the Reestablishment — at whatever cost — and she needs Warner to do it. In Unravel Me, she largely is learning about her powers and trying to OWN them and is also trying to heal mentally and overcome everything that happened in Shatter Me. In Ignite Me, Juliette stops feeling sorry for herself and goes balls to the walls with wanting to really 100% understand and control her powers for the good of the people. Kenji and Juliette board the ship. They get separated and Juliette is no longer invisible. She has to fight a tonne of soldiers, but eventually she finds Sara and Sonya.

Warner arrives in record time. He shows obvious concern and affection for Juliette which the others find astonishing but at the same time reassuring. He offers for them to come stay in his private training area on the compound. Reluctantly they agree. Common Sense is the nation's leading nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of all kids and families by providing the trustworthy information, education, and independent voice they need to thrive in the 21st century. Kenji convinces Adam to bring James and join them at the compound by telling him Juliette is still in love with him and missing him. He wants her to pretend she isn’t attracted to Warner. She is furious, though things are still cold between them and they sleep in separate rooms. Now, if I’m being honest, there were a few things (mostly small-ish things besides the one I’m going to talk about) that weren’t perfect for me but it was one of those reading situations where it didn’t really matter for me. The heart of the story, my feelings, and just my love for the series/characters made my brain gloss over them. I have no regrets.

James asks Warner lots of questions like why he calls Juliette “love” and if he’s in love with her (which he doesn’t answer). He asks why Warner has the big house with lots of food and hot water. Warner tells him he works for the the Re-establishment. James is terrified. Warner tells him he is also working with the rebels to defeat the Re-establishment, which is punishable by death. Then Warner gets shaky. We recap books (Why? Well you know when the next book in a series is about to come out and you can't remember all the main details of the previous books? That's what we are here for! Catch up on the parts that slipped your mind so you will be ready for the next one.) Warner finally feels a bond with Adam because he knows his father abused him too. How does Ignite Me end?Warner teams up with Juliette. Adam gets really angry, because he’s an angry person. Juliette gathers a bunch of soldiers and asks them to help her kill the Supreme Commander. They head into battle and win. Warner and Juliette are endgame. what happened in Ignite Me? Kenji and Juliette reunite with the group. Warner then shows up and Adam gets angry. He refuses to help Juliette fight the Re-establishment because of Warner. Adam tells Warner to leave. Kenji fills Juliette on on what’s been going on. He says he and the rest of the group tried to help the people at Omega Point, but it was kind of hopeless. They’re now staying in Adam’s apartment.

There you go! That’s what happened in Ignite Me. Hope youenjoyed this recap ofIgnite Me with spoilers.

Oh, Tahereh Mafi. You made me cry. You made me laugh. You made me blush severely. You made me nervous. You also did not do what I thought you were going to do. Nope. I definitely went into Ignite Me with some pretty strong predictions for what was going to happen but neither of them happened. Nothing graphic at all, one part where the main character says the word sex, other than that just kissing. Lol great book, Juliette is a great positive role model and I would recommend to anyone who is interested in dystopian books. Addictive, intense, and oozing with romance. I'm envious. I couldn't put it down." - Lauren Kate, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Fallen series
