We have a forced proximity trope, an amazing crew and a fab storyline. I also love the gender switch, here women are at the main mast, showing piracy isn’t just a man’s game. The secondary characters convinced me! I was happy to find some old acquaintances again, including little Roslyn. I love the found family that is created among the group, as well as the interactions and dialogues between the various characters!

This book felt boring for me to be honest, there’s not much that really happened until the last part of the book. I didn’t feel any chemistry between the two main characters. Beside that, Sorinda, the female main character is for the most part of this book closed up and gives everyone the cold shoulder. I didn’t like her and even though she explains herself towards the ending, I still didn’t like her because it took her too long, to feel any sympathy for her or the choices she made. I pull his feet out from under him, climb atop his wriggling body, and prepare to go for the throat. As the men race down the winding stairs, lanterns held aloft, I climb them from the side with my arms, hauling myself up rail after rail. Reach, grip, pull. Repeat.
