The bells rang merrily as the door closed behind them, as if celebrating their absence. Ok, all that aside, speaking of this book... I told Jolie Vines if I didn't love her so much I would hate her for what she puts this family through every.single.time. There's drama, and then there's DRAMA. I feel like these books are the climactic scene in Mission Impossible or a Bond movie, and the scene never lets up or ends. Just constant stress and anxiety and intensity and it makes me wonder how these characters aren't chewing antacids like candy. Defective?” Her eyes darted between Lou’s expression of fake sympathy and the small bite of scone Callum hadn’t eaten yet. “It looked fine.”

Her books have had a powerful impact, with many of them leaving a strong impression on her audience long after they’ve finished. Always invested in her storylines, she’s managed to entertain in a manner quite unlike any other, showing a clear passion for her art. Many of her stories resonate emotionally too, getting straight to the heart of the subject matter, and really finding something else. There’s plenty more to come too, as she will carry on writing for a long time yet, with many books planned upon the horizon. Finally, I caught my breath, and I trailed my fingers through the mess, then rubbed my cum into her pussy lips, pressing down on my tattooed name. I’m not a huge fan of New Adult stories and although Ella is only 17 at the beginning of the book, by the time it ends a number of years have passed which I have to say pleased me. It exceeded my expectations, The book was full of surprises and twist, and that some of them I did not expect them. I had so much fun reading. And don’t get me started on the spiciness of this book they were chef’s kiss. Gordain has been in the RAF since he was 16 yrs. old. He has finally reached his goal of attending search and rescue helicopter school. However, something happened to call his character in question, and he is on leave for investigation. At the end of Book 2, he rescued James’ sister from her uncle, and he fell in love. The major problem, Ella is 17 and he is 22. In Gordain’s mind, that is a huge gap. Little does he know, she is in love with him but due to her early life, she doesn’t know how to give or receive love. One of the reasons I love reading romance is because I love to fall in love. I fall in love with the setting or with the story, with the hero (almost always), with the heroine, sometimes with an unexpected secondary character. For me, the hero makes or breaks a romance, and in that department, this author shines. Struan, Sin (SIN!), Scar... swoony Scots are done just perfectly in Jo Vines' world.

This is Camden (Scar) and Breeze's story. I'll be honest. I wasn’t sure what I would think of it. I didn't have an instant like towards Breeze. Camden? Yes, but I've loved him since the first book. Breeze just didn't sit well with me. And I think that's because she instantly judged him. She knew he was McInver's son and just assumed he was a rich playboy with his father's deviant tendencies. You know what they say about assumptions. I also thought she was idiotic (not naive, I could overlook being naive) for putting herself in the same situation twice without thinking of the repercussions. I liked her more by the end but mostly because Camden loved her. I just really didn't. The third instalment in the Marry the Scot contemporary romance series takes you away to big love in the splendour of the Scottish Highlands. You'll adore this modern-day hot Scot and his delicate and determined musician. My favorite scene is after we hear Camden's story, from his own mouth, and this was his realization: In a short space of time, I'd gone from wanting her desperately to needing her completely. I didn't know shite about love, but I knew a lot about my heart. I was falling in love with Breeze.

Ruin was my first book by Jolie and I wasn’t disappointed. I went into this book blindly and was surprise how much I enjoyed it. This had a thriller feel to it, so it kept me on high alert 🚨He grabbed my hand and took it to my pussy, spreading my fingers into the mess. “Feel what we did. I’m addicted to that.” Camden and his brothers still don’t understand the scope of the situation they’ve been thrust into. When an opportunity lands in his lap to find out more information, he takes it hoping it will help him find out what’s happened to their brother, Burn, and sister, Cassie. He wants to help and protect Breeze, too, but he’s worried the fantasies stirred by his attraction to her only prove that he’s as depraved as his biological father. I really enjoyed this third installment in Jolie Vines’ Marry the Scot series. The hero of this book is Gordain, younger brother of Callum, the male lead in book one. He’s also the tattooed helicopter pilot best friend to James from book two... That is the installment that laid the groundwork for this romance. It is where Gordain met James’ younger sister, Ella, and helped her escape from the clutches of her evil uncle Richard. YES there is a cliffhanger and it ANNOYING one because I want to know what happened next now....please 🙏 Gourdain. For me, he is the highlight of this book. He is handsome (always a plus), a sexy Scottish Highlander (who doesn’t love a man in a kilt), ruggedly capable in most situations (he seems to save everyone), and he’s broken, the hallmark of a well-written hero (at least to me). Don’t get me wrong. I absolutely love Ella’s character in this book. She has a wisdom and grit about her that it never really feels like you are reading a 17/18-year-old heroine. She easily matches Gourdain, who also has a worldliness about him. But it’s Gourdain’s struggle with himself that provides the true depth to this book. He can be frustrating at times because he makes choices counter to his heart, and it causes issues between him and Ella. However, he comes to the rescue when it’s needed and redeems himself within the story. He’s kind, broody, so sexy, and incredibly capable, even when he wraps himself in his head. If you love swoony, broken heroes, then you absolutely need to read Hero.

Hero (Marry the Scot #3) by Jolie Vines is a slow burn, new adult, contemporary highlander romance told in first person, dual POV. Although it's the third book in the Marry the Scot series, it can be read as a standalone. I'd recommend reading the entire series though, because each book contains a wonderfully well-written love story and the characters reappear in future books. I don’t usually like love stories, but this isn’t a mushy love story. There is action, and suspense mixed in with the romance. I got hooked on this series with the very first book. A Scottish Laird meets the daughter of a rich British businessman and the fireworks begin with Book 1. In Book 2, his protege, a British Lord falls for her best friend. This book is about the younger brother of the Scottish Laird, Gordain who just happens to fall for the British Lord’s sister. That same British Lord is Gordain’s best friend. You really need to start with Book 1, and it won’t be too confusing. Book Genre: Adult, Contemporary, Contemporary Romance, Dark, M F Romance, Romance, Romantic Suspense I feel like we got to know him more than Thea, and as someone who falls in love with books because of their heroes, I am A-OK with that. There was so much going on in this book, so much to try to figure out, that it couldn't just simply be a romantic story. Besides, absence must definitely make the heart grow fonder, and the chemistry even hotter, because those two SIZZLED when they did get together. HOT!Gordain's military career is in freefall after a night he doesn't remember. His burning need for his
