About this deal

Her successes are phenomenal—she helps people overcome everything from domineering parents to assault—and almost absorbs the emptiness she sometimes feels since her husband’s death. Recovering from the unsolved murder of her first husband, Derrick, thirtysomething Emma Hawke has built a new life with Tom, a handsome, successful, and loving widower who finally makes her feel safe again. The premise of an over- involved psychologist- sleuth who was decredentialed because of her unconventional approach was a no-starter from the beginning. Thanks NetGalley for providing this ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) at no charge in exchange for a fair and honest review. I thought the first half of the book was a little slow but the deeper and deeper you get into the book the harder it is to stop reading.

I spent most of this book, like I did with their other titles, unsure who to trust and what each reveal could mean. She then feels bad and goes to Polly’s apartment to speak to her but realizes Polly has lied to her. But when wounded Air Force pilot Griffin Walker enters her life, Kendall realizes the beauty of God’s plan.

The Wife Between Us asks difficult questions about how much someone’s past can explain or excuse their behavior. In the book’s final pages, it’s also revealed that Avery helped her former husband, Paul, kill himself. You're hopelessly charmed by the ease and comfort of their home, by the graciousness of the dinner parties they throw. The Golden Couple is my favorite kind of thriller: a guessing game filled with characters you care about and twists you don't see coming . Avery spies on Natalie, Matthew’s ex, and then goes to check out the gym where Marissa met her lover.

In The Golden Couple’s opening pages, you will meet Avery Chambers, an eminent (and quite unconventional) “therapist,” who is unlike any therapist you’ve ever known. This is my favorite kind of thriller: a guessing game filled with characters you care about and twists you don’t see coming. Dual narrators leave you as sorry to say goodbye to one’s point of view as you are desperate to say hello to the other’s.

She wonders how he knew where she’d be and realizes that Skip looked at the appointment book when he was snooping in her office. Jamie Bond is a former cover model who switches gears to take over the family business: The Bond Agency, a high-powered P.
