A great read and offered total escapism as I was fully immersed in Tina Seskis’s world of Hope Close. The story, told in the third person, follows each of the neighbours and is interspersed with Andy Mayer's firsthand narration.

I liked Andy's character as well, I found it interesting to follow his journey as he attempted to readjust to normal life. I loved the premise of it, and the writing was wonderful so I had no trouble envisioning Hope Close and it's residents. This is a wonderfully written novel which brings together a mix of great characters and the author weaves a story around them all. The plot was so convoluted that I struggled to work out what was going on, and even at the end of the novel I still wasn’t completely sure what had happened.
