About this deal

And I don't think I have said anything about them, but I have to collectors editions, and the author after-word is AWESOME in every single book. I say so far because there are a shitload more books and it seems like every one I read becomes my favorite. Garro is a very well written character and grows on the reader very quickly, and it helps that we at least seen him from another POV in the previous books.

As the book goes on, we're treated to glimpses inside a fascinating society, great battles and a tense chase before things really start to get nasty. The Flight of the Eisenstein tells of a moment where one of the soldiers is faced with a moment of choice and a matter of conscience.Garro’s messenger boy task is replaced with Garro paying for his indecision over the Lord-of-Flies-to-be, while bearing the burden of proving he is not a traitor to the EMPEROR OF MANKIND. The escape from the Istvaan system was awesome, and the journey through the warp and battle with Grulgor's men/Nurglings was fun as hell. And super Mary Sue takes up too much space in the novel when they should have Reserve some more time Mercity Alton and Sidermen.

But it has to be mentioned, that the every time the narrator encounters an 's' - your headphones are going to explode. I couldn't help noticing the use of many rarely heard words, nothing so obscure as to make the writing opaque, generally I knew the word but was surprised to see it and just a handful of times I had to do a quick google. But when the fleeing Eisenstein is damaged by enemy fire, it becomes stranded in the warp — the realm of the Dark Powers. In den ersten Bänden freundeten wir uns mit Garviel Loken, Capitain der Luna Wolves, spätere Sons of Horus, an und lernten seine bedächtige, souveräne Art zu schätzen. It was with some horror that I started this book and realised that I'd never actually read a Black Library novel by James Swallow, my experience of him thus far restricted to a few Blood Angels short stories and his Star Trek novels.Garro maintained an even smile, but in truth he could detect the weariness, the pain in his old friend’s forced jocularity. When Garro is rescued, Rogal Dorn’s rage and denial of Horus' uprising initially caught me off guard, as it might for someone in Garro’s desperate state pleading for help, but it then evolves in a natural way. It works almost as well as a standalone as it does in the series and I would rate it as high as Fulgrim or Legion as the best of the series. This was excellent and the narration, whilst a little jarring at first after Toby Longworth, just got better and better. Can Garro and his men survive the depredations of Chaos and get his warning to the Emperor before Horus's plans reach fruition?
