It can also be used as an effective soap substitute, to prevent the skin from drying out further. Uses: Adults, the elderly and children*: As an emollient: Apply to the affected area as often as required. Smooth gently into the skin, following the direction of the hair growth. As a bath additive: Melt about 4g in hot water in a suitable container then add to the bath. As a soap substitute: Take a small amount of the ointment and lather it under warm water and use as required when washing or in the shower. Pat skin dry AproDerm Gel is a highly moisturising gel, without the greasiness of an ointment, which actively draws and retains moisture within the skin and provides a protective barrier to help reduce dryness and irritation. It is also an effective pre-bathing emollient so can be applied to skin prior to bathing to prevent it from drying out even further, whilst protecting it from the irritant effects that can be caused by washing and bathing products such as soaps, shower gels and shampoos.
