The camera here is serviceable, but it’s not flagship-rivalling as some of the other specs are. If you mainly use your phone as a camera, you should consider alternative options. The point here is that numbers don't always tell the whole story, and while for indoor spaces the F3 definitely gets bright enough for any amount of light, outside on bright sunny days, we've seen better performers recently - though it has to be said that all of those are more expensive. On the flip side, the Poco F3 has the rare AMOLED panel we've handled recently that actually goes dim enough on its lowest brightness setting, and this is a blessing for using it in pitch darkness. For some reason, these days, a lot of the cheaper AMOLEDs can't pull this off, but this one can, and we were happy to see that. Generally I don’t use a macro lens all that often, though the one found on this device is perfectly serviceable, as can be seen in the photo below. The ultra wide camera was a noticeable step down in detail compared to the main snapper. It’s still good to have the option for capturing larger landscapes, but it’s not on the same level as the others.

We were ever so slightly disappointed with the results of shooting with the Poco F3. It’s not that the shots we took were poor, but rather that they were just okay. And when you have a phone that exceeds expectations in so many ways, you really notice when it doesn’t. You won’t get through much more than a day’s heavy usage, but that will suit most people fine as you would generally plug in your phone to charge at the end of a long day.
