Simple setup. Easy wireless printing from Apple and Android mobile devices. Supports NFC and Bluetooth A friend of mine has the Fujifilm Instax Mobile printer. It’s great and lot better than previous Polaroid models. But this printer looks very promising. Maybe I should get one for Christmas. I already have 2 instant photo cameras but I hate take those anywhere.

We put the Polaroid Zip Zink mobile printer to the test and found it was simple and straightforward to use. Paper is easy to load into the top of the printer and then you just need to pair the device with your smartphone using Bluetooth, creating a connection that remains stable and doesn’t drop out. The app offers options for both Gallery, which lets you find an existing photo on your phone to print it, and Camera, which takes you to the camera app on the phone so you can take a photo and then print it. You can also edit images, adjust brightness and contrast, rotate the image, draw in a choice of colors with your finger, add emoticons, and more. We liked how the printer automatically goes to sleep when not in use, so the battery is not unnecessarily drained. Once you have your picture selected and ready to print, you can hit the print icon in the app, or tap your Android device to the top again for an automatic print. From hitting print to actually having one takes 50 seconds give or take a few seconds. Printers using ZINK technology are not known for excellent output. Although the Polaroid Zip suffers from some of the issues inherent in these kinds of printer (darker prints, sometimes skewed colors, etc.), the Polaroid Zip produces some of the better prints we’ve seen.Portable photo printers are available in different price ranges depending on the features they offer. Image quality, unfortunately, is not a strong point. Colors tend to be dark in terms of a hue-saturation-brightness color model, and not always well saturated, which in many cases makes them look dull. In images with a lot of dark tones, the shift toward darkening the colors also loses significant shadow detail (details based on shading in dark areas). So although the photos in my tests all qualify as true photo quality, they're very much at the low end of the scale. On the plus side, the Zip offers reasonably long battery life. Polaroid says you can print at least 25 photos on a full charge, and I managed to get well over 30. The company also says it takes 90 minutes to fully recharge. Taking snaps on your phone is always fun and it allows people to record moments that may have been missed if they didn’t have a portable camera device on them. Now you can grab this portable wireless printer with you so you can not only take photos on the go put print them too!This printer might not best for wedding. Battery doesn’t last long enough for an event like that. If you want a cheaper and better option, Polaroid Z340 is your best choice. It would be cheaper than hiring a PhotoBooth. It has replaceable batteries too. Pros We put our test prints inside a hard cover book to flatten them out since they have a tendency to curl slightly.
