About this deal

On first opening the products I have to say I was rather anxious, after all it’s not everyday you embark on a new beauty regime and certainly not one that involves a laser …. Well, I don’t anyway! The Tria Age-Defying laser is an FDA-cleared fractional non-ablative Diode laser for safe use at home. It zaps tiny columns of your skin causing microscopic injuries (but doesn’t destroy the skin). Your skin cells react by boosting collagen and elastin to repair it. Over the course of 3 months, levels surge and you get a rejuvenating fresh-face make-over. you can learn more about how laser resurfacing & rejuvenation works in detail here. At home fractional laser for facial rejuvenation eye bags reduced a teeny bit but still visible. The laser can't adequately cover this under-eye area I was once told my a plastic surgeon I was always going to have deep furrows as I have a very expressive face … to this day I am still unsure as to how I feel by that however I am more than happy with the lines that I still have today … Tria’s Age-Defying Laser is an at-home non-ablative fractional laser. This device's laser technology delivers thousands of microscopic beams that penetrate deep beneath your skin's surface. Your skin goes into "recovery mode,” producing new collagen and elastin fibres. Think of collagen like the scaffold of the skin and over time, that scaffold breaks down if you don't produce new collagen. When you use an Age-Defying Laser, you rebuild your skin, reducing the signs of ageing.

Not seeing results may also be down to the setting used. You may be using the laser on too low a setting to see the results you'd like. The lowest treatment level allows for your skin to adjust to the laser's sensation, but for optimal results, we recommend that you move upwards through the treatment levels as early as possible once you feel comfortable to do so. Now that I’ve used the Age-Defying Laser for a few weeks, I can say with confidence that I do recommend this product. It is so easy to use, gives your skin a beautiful glow, and I’ve not had any issues with pain or discomfort. It is very important to apply your SPF in the morning when you are using a facial laser, no matter what time of day you do the treatment itself. Of course, we should all be applying SPF daily anyway, so this hopefully won’t require any changes to your usual routine.

SMOOTH

You should also avoid using the laser on skin that is crusty or bleeding. Don’t use it over warts or moles either. The level 3 sting is no worse but it lasts for 2.5 minutes per zone. And because it zaps for longer it leaves my skin tomato-red with an intense ‘after-burn’ especially around my cheeks, upper lip, and nose. It’s not pleasant and I don’t like it.A spritz of cooling toner followed by serum and moisturizer helps soothe the burn. I have asilk pillow casetoo and this feels wonderfully cool against my skin. The sensation fades after 10 minutes or so. Cool, soothe & moisturise afterwards (and apply a sun screen SPF30+ the next day too) She said she isn’t using the laser for wrinkles as she doesn’t yet have wrinkles but she’s happy that her dark patches are “the lightest that they have been.” She cautions that if you have a big event coming up, then avoid using the laser close to the event (make sure you allow plenty of time for healing) and/or wear a heavy foundation so that any minor damage will have healed. Then after session 30 (half way there!) my skin suddenly feels much better. It’s still soft, occasionally dry, and now not so much red as rosy. After moisturising, it’s super-smooth, soft and bouncy! It looks a bit glowy too, although it’s hard to tell through the rosy sheen. An article in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal notes that “there has been a longstanding interest in finding an effective, non-invasive alternative to sclerotherapy [where medicine is injected into veins to make them shrink] that would provide equivalent or better efficacy, with a higher level of safety and ease of performance.” They were happy to report that lasers proved effective in this treatment.

Before you start using the Tria Age Defying Laser you must charge it, read the user manual and do a skin sensitivity test. I will give you an update when I completed the next four weeks and also a comparison to the Philips ReAura, but so far I am very impressed with the ease of use of the Age Defying Laser and enjoying having firmer fresher looking skin. The other thing that is vital when using a facial laser at home is to keep the laser moving all the time. If you keep it in one spot for too long it can damage your skin, or even cause burns. This is where the small amount of risk comes in This article in The Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology discusses the many benefits of non-ablative lasers including evening skin tone and discolouration, reversing UV damage, resurfacing scars, and regenerating the skin. For you, that means that the Age-Defying Laser will improve your skin overall, meaning that you might only want to use a light tinted moisturiser instead of heavy foundation because you’ll have beautiful, glowing skin to show off! My forehead wrinkles have always bothered me, the age me 20 years and as my skin elasticity has decreased they were becoming so bad that in the sun I would get white lines in the furrow when I pulled the skin taught.

In our mid-to-late 20s and early 30s, we start losing collagen at a rate of 1% per year. By age 40, collagen drops dramatically, which leads to signs of ageing like wrinkles, sagging skin, dry skin, and energy loss. Over a course of treatments, non-ablative fractional lasers smooth, tone, and tighten skin. This allows you to achieve professional results at home without inconvenient salon appointments and at a fraction of the cost. For the first 2 weeks I used the Tria Beauty Age-Defying Laser on the very first setting as recommend as I do have very sensitive skin. I found the feel of the laser slightly odd. I had expected it to be painful (it’s amazing how much your head can scare you silly when you embark on the unknown) However I was pleasantly surprised that as the laser glides over your skin it felt to me a little like ants with warm shoes on running over my skin, not painful as such just slightly odd. We all know that smooth skin texture leads to better makeup application . Although textured skin is perfectly normal, everyone would love the baby-smooth texture of young children. Though, we cannot promise that, there’s no doubt that research has proven that non-ablative lasers (like our Age-Defying Laser) do smooth the skin’s texture because it rebuilds the collagen that depletes as we age. Honestly, I was a bit daunted by this product at first. I’ve never had any kind of laser treatment before – not at home and not in a salon either – so this was a completely new experience for me. When the laser arrived, it sat in its box for a couple of weeks before I felt ready to give it a try.
