About this deal

It sometimes struggles with tougher dirt when using the crevice tool though, which is worth keeping in mind for cleaning between seats and other awkward locations that the motorised tool can’t access. The relatively large design can also be unwieldy in small cars – and don’t expect it to generate enough power to remove heavy soiling on floor mats. Upright – This is a one-piece unit and the model that most closely resembles the traditional machine that most people will picture when they think of a vacuum cleaner. The suction head is at the bottom, the handle is at the top and the dust container mounted in between. It’s a simple, tried and tested design. Unscrew the filter of the Dyson vacuum cleaner and remove the dust container from the vacuum cleaner (with the red clip) Replacing the Dyson button is not a difficult job, but it does consist of many actions that require careful attention. Although replacement does not require technical knowledge, you do need to keep your head up and use the right tools. In this guide I will help you step by step. When should you replace the Dyson Trigger button?

As the Trigger is based on the full-size V7 vacuum, we found it to be bulkier than most handheld vacuums. This can make it awkward to use in the tightest locations, although it’s still a great choice for car seats and stairs. When using the mini motorised tool, the V7 Trigger is one of the best handheld vacuums for removing pet hair. It’s capable of removing hair that’s been ground into rugs or carpet fibres, which is a task most handhelds we test struggle with. Put it all together and you’ve got the best Dyson you can buy: its most powerful cleaner to date, coupled with new technology that’s genuinely useful. The V7 motor spins at up to 110,000rpm to create powerful suction – a maximum of 100AW according to Dyson. This is only MAX mode, though, which you can use for only up to six minutes. It standard mode you get 30 minutes of cleaning at 21AW. Dyson V7 Trigger review: Performance and usability

Tip: Looking for other handheld vacuums with a pet turbo tool? Take a look at the Gtech Multi Mk2 or the Shark CH950UKT. Other Tools and Accessories One of the things we love about the V7 Trigger is the mini motorised tool, which is a small attachment consisting of a powered brush bar and stiff bristles. During our tests, using this tool made the vacuum much more effective at removing stubborn dirt, as the vacuum can agitate debris rather than relying on suction power alone. Like all Dyson vacuums, the V7 Trigger is a bagless model that’s built with two tiers of radial cyclones to capture microscopic dust and other particles. The cyclonic design also prevents loss of suction as the vacuum fills up, which is a common problem for cheaper handheld vacs. The standard V8 is ideal if you have a relatively small living space that’s mostly carpeted. If you have mostly hard floors, it’s worth seeking out the V8 Absolute, which comes with an additional fluffy roller.

However, while it doesn’t offer the extreme suction of Dyson’s cordless models on their Boost mode, the Ball Animal is more powerful than the standard modes of such machines. With the added benefit that it isn’t going to run out and require recharging, this makes it perfect for larger, more serious cleaning jobs. Be in no doubt: this pint-sized vacuum isn’t quite powerful enough to take on full-sized devices. If you want one device to do it all and your heart is set on Dyson, then the Dyson Ball Multi Floor, the Light Ball Multi Floor provide vastly better cleaning performance for similar money. And if you’re feeling a bit flush, the Dyson Cyclone V10 is a pretty good all-rounder, too.

The best Dyson vacuum cleaners you can buy in 2023

The V7 Trigger wasn’t alone in this challenge. As a point of comparison, I also tested the area with a Dyson V8. Both vacuums had a tough time but the V8 on MAX power cleaned the area while the V7 at the same setting struggled.

It also comes with extensions aplenty. As well as the main vacuum unit, the extension pole and extra-large cleaning head (with hair removal veins to keep it clean), the Dyson Outsize comes with a smaller soft head for hard floors and a mini-motorised tool for cleaning stairs and other inconvenient places. You’ll also get a variety of brushes, adaptors and other extensions. Uprights tend to have the largest capacity, so you spend less time emptying them, and you can cover larger areas in a shorter amount of time than other models. On the downside, they’re heavier than other models, and the mains cord and detachable hose mean they’re not the most convenient type of vacuum to use on stairs. Unlike older Dyson cordless vacuums, the V7 Trigger has the company’s new hygienic emptying system. To empty the vac, you pull up the cylinder to allow dust and debris to fall into a bin. The great thing about this system is that you (usually) don’t need to touch the dirt, as it’s pushed out of the canister by a silicone collar. Dyson vacuum cleaners have become some of the most highly sought-after items in the home thanks to their excellent build quality, suction power, and eye-catching design. So where are the cheapest Dyson sales happening right now?

When you are going to replace the Dyson knob, you need to use the right tools. You will need a small cross head screwdriver and a Torx T8 screwdriver. During our testing, the V7 Trigger provided excellent cleaning performance. The motorised tool was great for getting fluff and hair out of carpets, while the strong suction meant it handled both small particles and larger debris on hard floors. We also found it to be lightweight and easy to use around the home.
