About this deal

Both EufyCam 2have now been installed for a bit more than a week. I find the video quality very good, for sure not a 4K quality but impressive for a 1080P during daytime and at night I’ve big Motion Detect Spotlights, so the quality is still very good. Only receive the alerts** which matter. Customize the area in which detection takes place to suit your home.

That being said, a key component of its wireless-ness is the included HomeBase that comes in the box. The HomeBase looks like an all-white wireless router – it’s fairly plain but still a bit bulky. That’s ironic, of course, because you’ll need to connect it to a router and will find all the wires to do so inside the box. It works with voice assistants , so you can just ask Alexa or Google Assistant to show you who's at the front door According to Eufy, the EufyCam 2 Pro’s battery will last up to one year before it requires recharging. As we’ve already mentioned, this figure is based on recording 20 videos per day, each at 30 seconds in length. We can’t confirm this ‘typical use’ figure since our testing involved heavy use of the camera over a short period of time.Installation: The EufyCam 2 is really easy to set up. You just get the Eufy HomeBase hooked up to your internet router, sync the cameras, and you’re good to go. Because the cameras don’t have any wires, they’re easy to place where you need them. That is a massive advantage to other systems that try to squeeze you for a monthly subscription just to see the footage your camera has recorded. Battery life, while rated for up to 180 days, is still a toss-up at this point for me. I have only been using the camera a few weeks now, so I can't quite say if it will meet this goal, but I can say that eufy does warn that having it connected to HomeKit will drain it faster. I am undoubtedly ok if I only get a couple of months between charges, but I am a little concerned about battery-aging as the internal battery is not replaceable.

You can set preferred zones to record, as to avoid constant triggers from traffic or anything else that may set off the camera. Night vision using IR was especially impressive, and bested all of my other cameras in my home, including the eufyCam 2. What is the battery life and capacity? From a single 5 hour charge receive 180 days of battery life. The battery capacity is 6700mAh. All videos are stored locally on the Eufy HomeBase's internal memory. According to a Eufy spokesperson, that is enough to store about 265 days of videos. Unlike the Arlo cameras, which don't let you view locally stored videos online, the Eufy's locally stored videos are accessible via the phone app (though not the web portal). Video quality is good, not 4k good but good. It does get blurry when zooming in, and when it takes a picture of someone's face.

Are two 1080p cameras enough to protect your home? You'd be surprised...

To start off, it’s worth clarifying that the Eufycam 2 is a wireless outdoor camera. It’s IP67 rated to survive below-freezing temperatures and constant deluges of wet and winter weather. It’s an elongated, all-white camera that’s a seriously tough piece of equipment.

Night mode is insane. It literally notifications you when a bug gets too close or a cat runs across the scanning zone.According to Eufy, the Eufycam 2 lasts 365 days on a single charge. After doing some research on that number, the company says in its forums that it achieved that by only having 10 events in a day and recording 30-second clips for each event with the benefit of fairly nice weather most of the year. But depending on where your cameras are located and where you live geographically, your number could vary. On the rear of the camera, you’ll find a micro-USB port for charging, plus the screw-mount attachment, while a sync button that’s used for setup – or to perform a factory reset – sits on the top of the camera. What is the eufyCam S210 (eufyCam 2C) system compatible with? The eufyCam S210 (eufyCam 2C) uses HomeBase 2 as its hub. It is compatible with eufyCam, eufyCam S110, and eufy entry sensors.
