With two episodes to go, therefore, any reconciliation between Jimmy and Kim looks a long shot. Not least because Jimmy appears to be dead, with the violence perpetrated on the telephone box indicative of where Gene is as a person. He is lost, trying to rekindle the life of Saul Goodman. He’s gone as far as buying a chiropractic ankle wobbler, but it all seems desperate, not to mention depraved. By way of proof, we get a telltale “sitting dead-eyed in a strip bar” shot before, at the very end, Gene breaks into the house of a cancer patient to steal his identity.But somewhere down the line there's going to be a price to pay, and it's hard to shake the feeling that Slippin' Jimmy isn't going to be able to dodge the hellstorm that's careering his way.

A critical success without contention, Better Call Saul elevated itself from the shadow of its parent TV show, becoming an entity able to stand proud next to the mighty Breaking Bad. Over its time on the air, the show defied all expectations to become a 5-series epic. And many a loyal watcher would argue it to be superior to its lauded predecessor. But while Gould has already confirmed that we won’t see Jesse (Aaron Paul) or Walter (Bryan Cranston), could we see any other Breaking Bad cameos? We were already treated to the return of Hank (Dean Norris) and his DEA buddy, Steven (Steven Michael Quezada) in season 5... Will Better Call Saul season 6 outshine Breaking Bad?
