About this deal

Here’s a close-up of the control buttons which are located on the tail of the flashlight. these buttons have knurling so that your thumb won’t slide off

It provided a comfortable and secure grip, allowing me to easily maneuver the flashlight. I knew that this flashlight was built to last with its anti-corrosive, high-strength, and rigid construction. New version features proximity sensor that detects obstructions directly in front of the LEDs and lowers the brightness to prevent overheating. Power) είναι κλειδωμένο ενώ το κομβίο επιλογών “MODE” είναι διαθέσιμο για πρόσβαση στην φωτεινότητα STROBE και TURBO.

High and Turbo mode were measured with a fully charged battery. Ultra Low and Low were measured without recharging between the tests. Nitecore doesn’t even state a runtime duration for Turbo, so I guess this sort of gets a pass – except they do claim 3000 lumens. It’s unclear if this is aimed at being the “FL1” claim (but probably). I think anyone should be able to observe from the light size that it would be unreasonable to expect 3000 lumens for very long – even if it was capable, there’s nowhere for all that heat to go. The mid mode provides a max output of 237 lumens. You get a maximum beam throw of 59 meters and 900cd of brightness — I love the beam distance gap here. Operation of the Nitecore EDC27 is via two tail buttons, which are at different heights to enable easy identification. The mode button is a two stage switch with Nitecore's patented Strobe Ready technology. A full press and hold of the mode button enables instant access to strobe and a half press and hold enables instant access to Turbo brightness.

Because I didn’t have any rain, I tested the flashlight under a heavy shower, and it worked perfectly fine. When the light is on / off, half press and hold the MODE Button (STROBE READY™) to access TURBO (3,000 lumens). Release to return to the previous status or turn it off. STROBE READY™ I’m always reluctant to test the impact resistance no matter how strong the flashlight is — yes, even one from a very reliable flashlight brand such as Nitecore. But I was a little reluctant to drop it since I had only one unit; however, the build feels strong enough. It’s using TIR optics with 2 LEDs sitting in the center of each optic. In my sample, the TIR optics had some kind of damage or dirt in the optics. This is invisible in the beam, but you can definitely see it in my close-up pictures. The EDC27 is powered by a built-in 1700 mAh lithium-ion rechargeable battery which is recharged via the USB-C charging port located on the side of the torch. Remove the dust cover and plug in the included USB-C cable at one end and plug the other end into a USB port or a compatible USB adaptor. The indicator will blink slowly and the screen will display battery status while charging is in progress and once charging is complete after approximately 1 hour, 45 minutes the indicator will be solid and the screen will display a full battery icon. A battery protection circuit is incorporated that provides over-discharge, over-charge and anti short circuiting protection.Gary, who bought 2 of these lights on a whim, thinks the Nitecore EDC27s are unbeatable. My Experience With the EDC27 The Nitecore EDC27 is a new flashlight from Nitecore with a slim profile design. Featuring a stainless steel body with a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) matte titanium coating. A copper and aluminium heat dissipation module helps draw heat away from the LEDs to provide longer lasting lighting. You might already know that Nitecore gives you a lifetime warranty. This is a limited lifetime warranty, meaning you can get your flashlight repaired for free. But the EDC27’s durability didn’t stop there. Its scratch and fingerprint-resistant surface ensured that the flashlight always looked clean and new, even after heavy use.

It must be noted that not all flashlights come with easy-to-operate tactical designs, making the Nitecore EDC27 an EDC flashlight just as much as a flashlight made for tactical applications. User Interface The constant current circuit of the EDC27 is designed to maintain a steady flow of power to the flashlight, providing a consistent and reliable beam of light. As illustrated, use the USB cable to connect an external power supply (e.g. a USB adapter, a power bank or other USB charging devices) to the USB port to begin the charging process. The charging time is approx. 1 hour 15 minutes. (Charged via the 5V/2A adapter) The EDC27 is equipped with an intelligent charging system. Please charge the battery before the first use.Advanced temperature regulation dynamically adjusts output to prevent the LED from overheating, therefore these run-times are variable.
