About this deal

The shaft-driven 4WD TT-02B buggy chassis employs a skid-shaped frame. Its suspension setup uses 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension with long arms, I really recommend to use sand paper on "cross" which holds gears. There is line where moulds are joined together and gears do not spin freely. Few passes of 800 grit, than 1200 and 2500. I chose the Plasma Edge II because it reminded me of the old buggies, I don't like the cab forward designs of today. A mate had a Kyosho Outrage BITD which was essentially the plastic version of the Ultima and looks similar to Plasma Edge II. Another mate has just bought the Dual Ridge because he thinks it looks like the Kyosho Salute from BITD which his brother raced one_hit I totally understand you, but I do not have any plans to go for more powerful motor and LiPo batteries. Someday it will happen, I am sure, but not for now and not with two models I have. Buggies have larger tires, thus requiring higher (shorter) FDR to achieve the same speed. The Plasma Edge II comes with ~88mm tires.

Reliable shaft-driven 4WD system employs front and rear sealed gearboxes offering easy maintenance. I've been running a 7.5t (5100kv) motor on 3S LiPo in my TT-02 and no complaints from the standard plastic diffs, although I have shimmed both differential pinion gears (about 0.3-0.5mm of shims if I remember correctly) to make the mesh between the pinion gear and crown gear tighter and avoid skipping teeth. If the diffs eventually fail I'll source replacements or upgrade to metal diffs, no big deal as they as they are readily available (Tamiya part #51531). The listed top-speed for the lower-powered motors when using very low FDR (high ratio) would need quite a long straight and therefore impractical.I really recommend Tamiya cutters. Quality is very high and makes work really easy and fast. Do not use those cheap cutters. Buggies are generally run with FDRs in the 7.5 to 10.5 range (the kit standard 10.71 is a bit too short). The listed values are top-speed, acceleration is another matter. Higher-powered motors will feel a lot more punchy throughout. While the TT02S is better with different suspension, the R's are just the base TT02 with some hopups. I'm not a fan of the TT02 other than as a great basher or for the entrt level racing class. The TA07 and TB05 appear to be different to the earlier TA and TB cars. They haven't been released as kits, rather the base model is the Pro. This comes with TRF dampers but no body. The R is released later with more hopups. The TA07MS has been released now which is basically a TRF car. I expectvthe TB05 will get the R morel, but the TB Evo 7 is basically the MS version so not sure if there will be a TB05MS. The earlier TA and TB cars also had kits which had CVA dampers but were an alternative to the TT car as a starter kit.

Special feature 4: Lightweight and rigid FRP damper stays sharpen the suspension, and offer a range of setup options. and 0.8 are referring to tooth pitch, essentially the size of the teeth. You need the spur and pinion to match. Some people change the TT-02 to a finer pitch/smaller teeth for quieter running, but I'd guess unusual in a TT-02B. Kit comes standard with 22T pinion + 70T spur, for a gear ratio (or Final Drive Ratio, FDR) of 8.27 The TT-02B chassis is the buggy evolution of Tamiya’s popular 4WD entry level unit, the TT-02 chassis.Bathtub-type frame has longitudinal battery and R/C mechanism placed flat for low center of gravity. wheel double wishbone suspension features oil dampers, and iscombined with high-grip spiked tires to give excellent traction.

there are talks about 0.6 / 0.8 other - I have no idea what these numbers are and how they apply here Bathtub-type frame features longitudinally-placed battery and R/C mechanism placed flat for a low center of gravity. There is a lot of thread about the Tt02b but they are pretty old for the most. If someone knows a good place with all the parts number he would recommend, that would be very appreciated. Touring cars are generally run with FDRs in the 5.5 to 7.5 range (the kit standard 8.27 is too short). I would probably get the MS though because it comes with the hopups so far better value for money. And get a Plasma Edge shellBecause that's an important thing i have to tell you : when I accelerate, sometimes, i hear like the pinion is missing a tooth of the spur gear. but it is totally random and not especially when I go to full throttle. May be I can use your tips ? or do I need another support for the motor? Length: 370mm, Width: 250mm, Height: 160mm ★Wheelbase: 266mm ★Tread: 217mm (Front), 208mm (Rear) ★Bathtub-type Chassis Frame
