About this deal

The peddles of the bike are very comfortable. They are also wide to allow for easy use. They feature a non-slip finish and straps that help to keep your feet in place during sessions. The product is an incredible choice for beginners and intermediate users because of the elements and features it has to offer. Both folding and non-folding exercise bikes are designed to allow for intensive workout experiences that are designed to increase your heart rate and burn through calories. They also offer benefits like flexibility because of the adjustable elements which mean they can be used by more than one person in a household. The EB Fold, by indoor fitness kit specialist Domyos, is one of few folding exercise bikes to use friction resistance. At 6kg the flywheel is lighter than in most fixed exercise bikes, but it’s an unusual feature in folding bikes, and you’ll appreciate it if you want control over the toughness of your workouts. Resistance: This is an important feature to consider, with resistance coming from magnets or friction inside the bike. Magnet resistance isn’t as common but are better for pre-set programs as they can be judged using the internal computer device, while friction resistance is a more basic function that needs to be manually adjusted. However, friction resistance is much cheaper than magnetic versions.

Working out on a folding exercise bike can get your heart rate up. However, most trainers and workout veterans admit that it won’t be quite as intense. Folding models aren’t as beefy, as durable, or as up to the task of more intense cardio workouts. Despite that, they’re still a great, affordable option for beginners looking to start small on their workout journey. Plus, if you’re short on space, a folding model may be the best (or only) way to go. Once you’ve finished your workout, you can fold the Workfit 1000 up and store it away. Although this model takes up slightly more space when folded compared to the FitDesk. I love exercises that focus on several areas of my body so I don’t have to spend hours working upper body, cardio, legs etc. With this bike I can do all that in one which means I’ve found it a lot easier to fit in a workout, and I’m much more motivated to get on the bike. The LCD monitor sits atop the handlebars and has a large screen that shows you all the usual stats including speed, time, distance, calories and heart rate. The pulse rate monitors are found in the handle bars which are also well made, comfortable and give you added stability. There is a convenient phone/mobile device holder just underneath the main display – this is a great addition and allows you to use your phone in landscape mode to watch videos whilst still being able to see the main display of the bike – however if you want to view your phone in portrait mode it will obscure the main bike display. We actually found this to be one of the best features of the bike as the phone holder is in such a convenient place. Height can be adjusted between five different levels ranging from 104cm to 114cm. Desk angle adjustments can also be made between three angles to suit the user. It also features 14 resistance levels as opposed to the standard eight resistance levels. Another factor that makes this product stand out is that it comes with a button at the centre of the console, which can be used to adjust the resistance. This folding exercise bike has come to surprise a lot of people. The reason is that the company behind the product does not have much of a history compared to other manufacturers on this list. Kuokel is a manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of exercise equipment. It was founded in 2017, and this is one of their breakout products.

Considering a large majority of people that buy folding exercise bikes do so because they have limited space, it is worth mentioning the dimensions of folding bikes. Folding exercise bikes are very compact and relatively lightweight making them easy to keep out of sight when not in use. If you have limited storage space I would recommend measuring up with a tape measure before buying. This will save you the hassle of either having to send your brand spanking new exercise when you realise you have nowhere to store it. Maximum User WeightFolding exercise bikes could be the answer you are looking for – but with such a difference in quality and pricing, we understand how difficult it can be to find the best option for you – so we have compiled a list of the best foldable exercise bikes in the UK. Height and weight range: Folding exercise bikes don’t tend to support quite as much weight as non-folding bikes, with 110kg (242lb) about the maximum, although one of our recommended bikes will happily accommodate up to 136kg (300lb). Short and tall people may struggle, with 5-footers (including me) and over 6’2″ slightly beyond the ranges of seat height of most consumer stationary bikes.
