About this deal

A warm welcome from the owner upon arrival. Good views of Warkworth castle and the sea. Worth spending time outside in the dark looking at the night sky. Well situated for access to many places of interest with many good places to eat nearby. The location was perfect for both the countryside, the beaches and some fantastic local pubs and restaurants. The electrical goods were of good quality and were easy to operatr. The ownet, Angie Doughty, went out of her way to be helpful.and friendly.Of course N Northumberland was as beautiful as always. We have found a gem in Secret Kingdom and hope to.return soon. This entire film is just a visual effects masterpiece. From the animals to the scenery, I was blown away. What was the most difficult aspect to create?

The cottage is immaculate, so comfortable and equipped with everything you need. The owner, Angie and Frank, where extremely helpful and responsive to messages and left lovely little touches in the cottage on our arrival. Great outdoor space, fabulous views, peaceful and quiet. Great communication from the owner, would definitely recommendAlternatively, spend your time along the pretty Northumberland’s Heritage Coast, which is fantastic for walkers or discover the historical landmark of Hadrian’s Wall, which was built to guard the wild north-west frontier of the Roman Empire.

Angie the owner could not of been more helpful, a lovely lady who met us on arrival and showed us around and explained how to use the cooker, coffee machine( very important)etc! Oh and the underfloor hearing! Bliss. Nice quiet setting and glorious sunrises over to the North Sea. Would have loved to spend some time sitting in the garden area, but unfortunately October evenings just a wee bit cool. Once upon a time, a wonderful king ruled the lands. After a terrible accident, his overwhelming grief split the world in two. The world above went on as usual, but in the world below time stood still and darkness spread. In this darkness a creature called the Shroud (Gabrielle Chan) gained power, striking fear into hearts and turning creatures to stone. Matt Drummond: Funny enough, I think all kids have a dinosaur gene. They're born with it, and they just love them anyway. I was fortunate enough that I fell into a career that allowed me not to grow out of that. I was doing dinosaur documentaries for National Geographic and The Discovery Channel, and I became known as the dino guy for some time in that space, and I just kept doing more and more and more of them. So when I did my first feature film, I had the opportunity to do that. It was an obvious choice to use that as a subject matter and as a strength that I could lean upon to bring some wow factors to the screen.Matt Drummond: It was setting up the production pipeline to start with. As I said, this is a very new technology. So the way I'd been doing visual effects for the last 30 years—there was only a small part of that that was able to be taken into this new paradigm, which is the traditional animation. And so really, it was about adapting what I understood to be core visual effects needs into this new system and working out what they were. So there were some significant challenges to get this to where it got to. Verity was my favorite character. She's the younger sibling, but she really takes charge with Peter. How did you want that relationship to come across on screen when you were writing it?

Where did you film this? I'm assuming most of it was a green screen, but did you have to go on location at any point? Or was this all filmed in a studio? Their journey to The Secret Kingdom is not an easy one, but the FX are keenly in place as armadillo-like creatures guide them from their fall to a safe space far beyond the reach of The Shroud. These creatures look all sorts of frightening in their armor, but - as they can talk and are eventually understood by the children - provide them with all the explanations they need to understand their purpose in The Secret Kingdom: to reset time itself.I couldn't help but notice that a lot of your previous work involves dinosaurs! This was a dragon, but as someone who is fond of these giant creatures, I'd love to know what draws you to the genre. The patio is well equipped with rattan furniture. A table with four chairs, and two double settees. Cushions are kept in an outside cupboard. Secret Kingdom holiday cottage is a beautiful, modern, light and airy luxury, 5 star awarded cottage, with stunning interiors, this luxury, comfy, cosy cottage is situated only 1.5 miles from Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline. We couldn't fault the cottage. It was immaculately clean, very comfortable and was extremely well equipped. Starring Sam Everingham, Alyla Browne, Alice Parkinson, Chris Gabardi, Darius Williams, and Beth Champion, The Secret Kingdom, which reminds me a lot of the fun found in Labyrinth, finds these two kids up against an ancient evil known as The Shroud, an evil which is born from the disunity of the worlds in the secret universe below their bedroom floor. It is their job to bring together the five mystical treasures in an effort to save this kingdom.
