MARC-ANTOINE: The thing is, Quentin shares alot of informationwith me. We'veworkedtogether for sevenyears andwe meet about every two weeks. Quentin shows me his creationswithout tellingme beforehand what they should smelllike tokeep my mind clear of preconceptions. If I generally don't like a certain scent note, knowing it'son the tester strip may make me perceive it with prejudice, and that's counterproductive. For the Wax Melts: You will receive a 50g (approx) plastic container, filled with 7-8 pieces of wax moulds blended in a fragrance of your choice, each melt will give around 1 hour burning time.MARC-ANTOINE: After Ganymede's success, I was worried we would not meet expectations, but this did not happen: together with Quentin, we created a very complex fragrance that many people appreciate. In seven years of working with Quentin, I've only seriously discussed two fragrances from other brands with him, and that was on the very first day we met. The top notes of Ganymede Perfume are a blend of bergamot, lemon, and mandarin. These citrusy notes give the scent a bright and refreshing start. The heart of the fragrance is a mix of jasmine, rose, and lily of the valley. These floral notes add a hint of sweetness and femininity to the scent. The base notes of Ganymede Perfume are a combination of sandalwood, musk, and patchouli. These notes provide a warm and woody finish to the scent. I will not agree with previous reviewers that this is a 1 to 1 copy of Ganymede, even though its similar. At first spray this is not nearly as good as Ganymede (which is fine because of the price difference obviously), and is instead actually quite off-putting (less fun). It actually smells spicy, smoky and dense instead of mineral (mineralistic?) and airy right when I spray it. MARC-ANTOINE: You're right. Wedidn't try to repeatthe B683 Extrait experience. Ganymede Extrait borrowed the DNA of the original: to the same ingredients, we added just two more, frankincense and myrrh, and you can feel them already at the start. Theoriginal Ganymede greets you with the coolness and minerality of mandarin and akigalawood, while the Extrait has the warmth of resins and, of course,immortelle, whichhas become its main heart note.
