About this deal

If they have the first generation tapes that were made before editing, that would be an improvement. It looks betterer than any extant video master would’ve done but boy I wish they’d gone easier on the DNR.

We would only see Chritmas Tree’s, Licensed to Drill, To Hull and Back and Miami Twice on Blu-ray as these episodes were shot on film. The fact the BBC couldn’t pay for the rights to play the original background music within scenes is criminal, they must have made millions from the Only Fools franchise. In 'A Royal Flush' (1986) when Rodney begins dating the Duke of Mallbrey's daughter (Sarah Duncan), Del is on hand with tickets to the opera - the only problem is that Del insists on accompanying them! I really cant understand why the BBC wont release these episodes fully uncut – if the reason they wont do it is because of money )it would cost too much) – then that is stupid because only fools fans would be more than happy to pay for an expensive release, they wouldn’t care how much it cost. Award-winning British programmes made by the business are internationally recognised across a broad range of genres and specialisms, with brands like Strictly Come Dancing/Dancing with the Stars, Top Gear, Doctor Who and Bluey.I'm waiting for the reviews as unfortunately it's the same company that remastered Day of the Triffids and they filmised the resorted 16mm film footage downgrading the quality so I'm waiting for the reviews before i bite. We know the BBC and John Sullivan frequent the site, and as your the fans then let us know (inderectly letting them know) what would you want on the blu-ray version? there’s no foul language in this scene, no racial comments, it’s a crime that scene got cut, all because a singer is on stage due to music rights.

It must be in the pipeline as we are talking about the most successful sitcom of all time in the UK. When grandad went upstairs to hammer the bolt of the chandelier through with a hammer, he had to take a few retakes as he manged to miss the bolt with his hammer. No need for 26 disks again, the whole point of bluray is Hd and the fact you can fit loads of data on a single disc. Also, any episodes originally shot on film would probably not be rescanned to HD either, more likely, again, just upscaled from 576i VT. BBC Studios Productions Limited, company number 09463829, 1 Television Centre, 101 Wood Lane, London, W12 7FA. The five 1980s specials of Only Fools And Horses are due to be released on Blu-ray for the first time. All Episodes including the few “shorts” in high def (at least digital remastered) extended versions without as many cuts (Or any cuts) with commentary from the late John Sullivan.

I think it needs to be brought out on Blu-ray because just like the old videos the DVD’s are dying out.

Uncle Albert takes to the seas once more in 'To Hull and Back', Del Boy makes a lasting impression when he joins a clay pigeon shoot in 'A Royal Flush', the highs and lows of romance are revealed in 'Dates', and 'The Jolly Boys' Outing' to Margate sees the entire Peckham faithful get into all sorts of trouble. Later on in the week, when Rodders is invited to a shooting weekend, the last thing he needs is for Del to arrive with a sawn-off shotgun.

Also, I found it interesting to learn that the ‘Twilight Zone’ episodes from 1985-1988 were also shot on film and transferred to video masters, while the negatives were tossed in the bin. Finally, in 'The Jolly Boys' Outing' (1989) Del, Rodney, Uncle Albert, Trigger (Roger Lloyd-Pack) and Boycie embark on their annual outing to Margate, but end up stranded when their coach explodes.

Starring David Jason, Nicholas Lyndhurst, Buster Merryfield, Tessa Peake-Jones, John Challis, Roger Lloyd-Pack, Sue Holderness, Patrick Murray, Roy Heather, Paul Barber, Gwyneth Strong and Jim Broadbent. Brand Spanking New From Reputable UK Company With 30 Years Experience In Retail, Please Note Not All Our New Items Are Shrink Wrapped. Uncle Albert takes to the seas once more in To Hull And Back, Del Boy makes a lasting impression when he joins a clay pigeon shoot in A Royal Flush, the highs and lows of romance are revealed in Dates, and The Jolly Boys' Outing to Margate sees the entire Peckham faithful get into all sorts of trouble. So while the exteriors would kinda benefit from the resolution, you can’t do anything about the PAL video. Uncle Albert (Merryfield) is planning to celebrate his birthday in style while Del joins a dating agency and meets an out-of-work actress, Raquel (Tessa-Peake Jones), who he could see himself spending a lot of time with.
