I am a very big fan of vanilla notes, but the way vanilla is mixed up with the ginger, vetiver and cedar woody notes in this cologne just makes it repelling to me. You can pick it up cheap online even though it's discontinued, but you can do much better than this nowadays.

Out of the bottle, you get the cool pleasant blend of aromatic and citrus notes with a background of vetiver – it is in there and I like it. the problem is that you can the best ever smell but if it doesn't last on the skin, then what is it, the kind of scent that is here for a fun time, not a long time. The projection/sillage is average at about arm’s length until settling close to skin level around hour six.

Speaking of the fragrance, I feel little of the citrus notes on the output, except for a slight touch of ginger. Don't worry that the leftovers of the fragrance on a jacket or coat will react badly with the new scent. Bought it original and not fake , but always make me wonder otherwise , cuz this stupid perfume has nothing in it.

I would definitely recommend this to be worn at night, in a casual setting for the summer or fall and winter would be ideal for a warm but light scent. Very very cedar forward as well as quite citrus smelling, absolutely no vanilla in it for me, some spiciness that lurks in the background. BOSS and HUGO are two strong brands that are clearly distinguished by their fashionable style but meet the same high standards of quality and fit, innovation and sustainability. I detect some dried fruit (somewhat Egoiste-like) up top, but then the base notes kick in shortly thereafter.

but if that doesn't bother you the spiciness is nice, and it feels like a marine note is in here too. It can be used in dates because of that dark ginger cedar note and it can be used at the gym because of the freshness from the citruses. During that first hour you get a little ginger, cypress, the lovely mahogany, cedar, benzoin and the vetiver. Plum/dried fruits spiced cola/soda beverage vibe with herbal medicinal undertone (that cypress-benzoin accord like the one in Bvlgari Man Wood Essence). Maybe it varies with some but it seemed that it's soft enough that you can smell and its nice but not as unique or strong enough to make someone stop and ask what you're wearing.

You may not think they are suitable to give as a gift, but they are perfect for your personal use (or perhaps for non-discerning family and friends). the orange is very pronounced in the beginning giving it a sweet/citrus and ginger opening, then it settles into an almost candy-like wood scent that lasts a good while. It worked on my skin, however mileage varies (as the comments here indicate), and it might not be for you. Smells very medicinal throughout and the notes here don’t combine well together leading to a weirdly off putting scent.I usually enjoy ginger dominant fragrances, so I am a little taken aback by my distaste for this scent.
