While testing the webcam’s performance during one of my regular Twitch streams, I was reasonably impressed with how well the C920 handled itself, maintaining a smooth frame rate and sharp images throughout the duration of the test. We found its picture quality to be great out of the box. And, when cost, quality, and performance are all calculated, the C920 is still one of the best everyday webcams you can buy, despite being almost a decade old. The Webcam Settings panel lets you adjust the camera’s brightness, contrast, saturation, zoom, and advanced settings.
The Logitech C920 has been one of the best webcams on the market since its release in January 2012, consistently beating out rival products that promise more affordability or better performance – and for good reason. This is a beloved favorite across the entire spectrum of streamers, content creators, and office professionals alike.The C310 is clearly no real competitor here, with a narrower 60° FOV that requires the device to be pretty far away from its subject. The filming quality is also dramatically inferior to that of the C920, with a maximum output of 720p at 30fps. The Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 is an outstanding replacement for your laptop's integrated webcam. It takes sharp photos and videos, which makes it ideal for teleconferencing and streaming. It's easy to set up on an external monitor or laptop screen, and it works well with Logitech's dedicated, albeit buggy, software.

One of the main differences between the two is that the C920 has a different compression algorithm which makes it better suited for 1080p video chat. A good feature they both share is auto-focus. You can hold an item as close as 4 inches away from the C910 or C920 and within a couple of seconds the item will come sharply into focus (assuming you hold the object still, of course). Autofocus, auto white balance, and low-light correction: Most webcams look pretty good with a professional lighting setup, a thoughtfully-framed and curated set, and some manual software fine-tuning. But if you don't have the space, equipment, time, or patience to perfect your picture, look for a webcam that works well out of the box. We test webcams using both default and manually-configured settings, in a number of ideal and less-than-ideal lighting scenarios. You need a cheap webcam: This is an expensive webcam and there are certainly cheaper products on the market for anyone who can't stretch their budget. You just need a webcam: While these cameras can be used as webcams, they're more expensive than most and don't match the same quality of a premium offering.
The C920 doesn't have a built-in lens cover like the C920s model, but you can easily source one online (unofficially as they're not sold by Logitech) if that's something you want on a webcam.
C922 PRO HD STREAM WEBCAM
Our list is heavy on big brand names such as Logitech for good reason. Reputable brands have been tested across many different devices to make sure that the products are compatible with different graphics software. This is why you may see different quality if you use the same camera on a desktop and a laptop - the webcam hardware communicates differently with different devices. Logitech, Razer and other well-known webcam manufacturers can provide a product that is more likely to work well across a wide range of different machines, so whether you're looking to run your camera on a new gaming desktop or an old Chromebook, you should see similar results.
The claw-style grip will easily fit onto most laptop screens and PC monitors, but if you prefer keeping your display clear then you can also fix the mounting clip onto traditional tripods. You won't get a tripod included with the box, but if you already have one laying around then it's a great way to get creative with your camera angles if you're broadcasting in a messy room.

If you've been hunting online for a webcam in recent years then chances are you've stumbled across the Logitech C920 webcam in some buying guides and lists for the best webcams on the market. This could be seen as slightly deceiving because it certainly isn't the most powerful webcam you can buy today, but its legendary status is well deserved. Not only is the Logitech C920 still one of the best Logitech webcams, it remains the top choice across all brands despite being released almost 10 years ago.
