a b c d e f g h Bustillos, Maria (January 4, 2015). "What's New, PuppyCat?". The California Sunday Magazine. Archived from the original on May 8, 2023 . Retrieved May 8, 2023. In October 2020, it was announced that Netflix would be distributing the season in 2022. [4] Described as a reboot, [26] three new episodes were commissioned that retell the story of the original YouTube series, and these were presented along with the 13 episodes produced in 2019 as Lazy in Space. The episodes were renumbered accordingly. [27] The series launched on September 6, 2022. [28] Note: "Wedding" was Joan Koplan's final acting role as she died on March 31, 2016 which was seven months before the episode was released on VRV. [40] All in all, I can't rate this book more than 2 stars. It had its good moments, but also enough confusing and boring moments.

Bee and PuppyCat, Vol. 1 by Natasha Allegri | Goodreads

The show’s unique visuals take a large amount of inspiration from ’90s anime, especially Sailor Moon and Superbook, two titles Allegri grew up with. The first three episodes on Netflix appear to be a revamp of the first season of the show. It’s not a straight up shot-for-shot remake, nor is it entirely new content. There are similar beats from the original first season (Bee gets fired and during a walk home in the rain, PuppyCat falls onto her umbrella), but with some expansion (Bee actually at the job she got fired from, while a literal fire happens). Artwork by Natasha Allegri A second season titled Bee and PuppyCat: Lazy in Space was produced and billed for a 2019 release on VRV, but it was delayed and leaked online in 2020. I also liked that Allegri made Bee a normal-looking girl – not thin, not fat, just ordinary-looking like most women are. Though she may not be the ideal female role model as she’s a tad too lazy and a bit too crazy, but she seems like someone a lot of the audience will like and relate to. And Puppycat is just adorable, that cat with the grumpy expression, dawww, just like that other Youtube real-life cat with the grumpasaurus chops! Mihailova, Mihaela (3 October 2019). PuppyCat is also the Space Outlaw mentioned in PuppyCat's story, which is hinted at during the second part of the pilot when Wallace turned into a monster and stated: "I knew it was you, pretending it was just a fairytale, lying to children making them look up to a hero, who, in reality, is just an awful monster..." Puppycat is annoyed with Bee after leaving him home alone to run errands. Meanwhile, the rest of the Wizard family annoys Cas on her day off. Boom! Studios published a tie-in comic book through its KaBOOM! imprint. The comic was canceled after #11 in 2016 despite issues #12–#16 having already been solicited. [50] Preview catalogues that year listed issues #12–#16, along with cover art and synopses. [51] IssueRinggold reality TV star Joan Koplan dies". Walker County Messenger. 2016-04-01 . Characters [ edit ] Main [ edit ] A screenshot from the first pilot episode of Bee and PuppyCat. PuppyCat is falling from the sky and is about to land on Bee. He wears a pink frill-like collar with a yellow bell. According to Bee, PuppyCat smells like and has the tail of a dog but otherwise heavily resembles a cat. He is stated to have a flat butt in " Beach" (which disappoints a crab who wanted to pinch it), but he is drawn with a much rounder butt when he strikes a pose in " Cats" which scares the bathhouse cats away from Bee. Boss: Moully's overbearing boss on the Donut Planet who lost his livelihood. He was voiced by Tommy Wiseau in "Donut", and Eric Bauza for "Golden Eyes" and the season 1 remake.

Allegri sang the theme song for the " Fionna and Cake" episode of Adventure Time. [20] Additionally, she served as a storyboard revisionist for the Bravest Warriors episode "Butter Lettuce" and has contributed to the miniseries Over the Garden Wall as writer and storyboard artist. [2] Bee seems like a nice character, though she really whines and complains a lot. She is also really lazy and seems not much in the mood for anything. Which is a shame. She has the power (well.... that bot thing does) to do great things, but she seems not that much interested in it. According to the 6th Bee and Puppycat comic, Puppycat can cough up hairballs like a cat. He also likes playing with squeaky balls like a dog. Bee and PuppyCat is an American adult animated streaming television series created and written by Natasha Allegri. [2] [3] [4] The series revolves around Bee (voiced by Allyn Rachel), an unemployed woman in her early twenties, who encounters a mysterious creature named PuppyCat (voiced by the Vocaloid program Oliver). She adopts this apparent cat-dog hybrid, and together they go on a series of temporary jobs to pay off her monthly rent. These bizarre jobs take the duo across strange worlds out in space. The original series was produced by Frederator Studios with the animation initially outsourced to South Korean studio Dong Woo Animation.

PuppyCat is extremely heavy, as Bee, who has robotic superhuman strength, claims he is heavy when she catches him in " Farmer". He does not appear to be a bad person, since he has let Bee tag along on his Temp jobs in the first place and at least cares enough about her not to let her die during their jobs. Ugh 😩!! I just didn’t love it but I don’t know why !! Like many I watched the animated series and become connected with Bee !! I wanted to know if the book would answer some of the lingering questions I had. It didn’t and unfortunately that left me unsatisfied and underwhelmed. The illustrations were similar to that of the show and it had a similar pace that just didn’t work in this medium for me. I plan to give Volume 2 a shot in the future because sometimes the second time is the charm. The art styles are great, though I preferred the one we also see on the cover. It is really pretty and soft, the colours match with the style and I enjoyed looking at it. The other art was often hit and miss. At times it looked good, but sometimes it just looked off and weird.
