It just gets him transferred to a Spec-Ops unit which takes even more dangerous missions. Disproportionate Retribution: At one point, Ensign Dowski decides suggesting to Keyes to surrender to the Covenant, while being really insubordinate about it. Granted, this is one of the stupidest things anyone has said in Halo, but it's followed by Keyes tying her up and leaving her to be killed by the Covenant.
