About this deal

This Is How It Ends is masterfully plotted – A party, a body and two friends who live in a world of protest and activism, suddenly faced with a moral dilemma – This is how it began… The story opens as Ella calls Molly to help her as having attended a party and finds herself with a dead man. a.m.: The principal of Opportunity, Alabama's high school finishes her speech, welcoming the entire student body to a new semester and encouraging them to excel and achieve. There’s plenty to mull over in this novel and plenty to feel your blood boil over as well. Ultimately, no matter what my thoughts about Ella eventuated into, there can be no doubts as to the origin of her anger and it’s justification. We have come so far, yet we still have such a long way to go.

I can’t even begin to describe the whirlwind that is in my head and heart after finishing this book. A complete and utter silence descended upon me the second I finished it. I was numb. I was speechless. I was heartbroken. I was angry. I was relieved that I was never forced to live a tragedy like the one described in this book.Marieke Nijkamp's brutal, powerful fictional account of a school shooting is important in its timeliness." —Bustle.com Hugh is eccentric to the point of NOT wanting anything to do with the American cousin and strangely enough only gets to meet him at Christmas time, well after Addie and Bruno have fallen into each others arms.

Trigger warning: mass shooting, specifically in a school setting, also suicide is not graphically described but still present. This is a very moving novel from Kathleen MacMahon. I was left a bit heartbroken on finishing it, to be honest, because of how I'd grown to care for certain of the characters. I can't say more as it'll spoil it. But you'll know why when you read it. This book also has a beautiful, and for me quite magical, cover design. Jenna Ortega Drops Out Of ‘Scream VII’ After Co-Star Melissa Barrera’s Firing — Is Netflix's 'Wednesday' To Blame? How It Ends is a 2018 American action thriller film directed by David M. Rosenthal and written by Brooks McLaren. The film stars Theo James, Forest Whitaker, Grace Dove, Nicole Ari Parker, Kat Graham, and Mark O'Brien. The book is sensationalistic. Like come on, when the bad guy is about to kill you, would this moment really have happened? Like, REALLY? “You know, sweaty chic doesn’t suit you,” I muse. The police storm up the stairs and enter the classroom where Sylvia and Fareed are hiding. Sylvia walks out in the hallway to see Tyler and Tomás lying dead on the floor and Autumn writhing in pain and clutching her brother’s hand. Despite her grief for her brother, Sylvia knows she must stay strong and calm for Autumn, and she soothes her girlfriend as paramedics load her into an ambulance. Did you know Opportunity, Alabama is a real melting pot? Yeah, no one else does either. I’m all for books having a lot more diversity when it comes to characters, but don’t set it in a town where 80% of the population is white . . . This Is How It Ends is top shelf thriller. The gritty forgotten parts of London are exposed in this story about corruption, activism, police brutality, bullying, misogyny, and gentrification. It’s a sophisticated thriller like few are, topical in its chosen issues and sharply tense in its grim delivery. The characters are raw and real, the setting authentically atmospheric – right down to the last rat!
