For a while I've had to make do with mediocre torches and always been of the opinion that it's not worth spending money one something that would never see the light of day but this was a good investment. It's amazingly bright with the LED and the batteries last a while. When fitted with batteries there is a certain weighty feel to the torch which is reassuringly and the build quality feels great in hand. For me this is probably the perfect size in terms of weight distribution when holding it over or under arm. Being able to focus the light or disperse it more by twisting the ring at the front is a great idea. Perfect for looking through small gaps and using when exploring buildings and larger areas.

When I took it in to work the guys were in admiration and some went as far as to say that they would update their old bulb Maglites by getting the LED filament instead.
