About this deal

Whilst the Sisters of Battle are firm in their faith, it doesn’t mean they don’t need correction from time to time. The Sister Dogmata is feared by both enemy and friend, as she is the only Adepta Sororitas who can condemn a sister to the Repentia. On the battlefield, she strikes at foes with her mace whilst exhorting the Battle Sisters to even greater feats of valour. Sister Superior with boltgun. Don’t run yours with this loadout, please. Credit: Alfredo Ramirez Sister Superior The Ecclesiarchy is unflinching in its punishment of those who commit crimes against the Emperor.* Those judged guilty of the most heinous acts of treachery and betrayal are condemned to die – not by the executioner’s blade, nor even by immolation at the stake,** but as the pilot of a Penitent Engine… Pure of Will is more generally good, allowing the Warlord to deny an extra psychic power can come in the clutch, and adding three to the rolls is even better! That being said, if the opponent doesn’t use the Psychic phase much, this is essentially wasted. If you’re dying to know what may be coming in the new Sisters of Battle 40k army box for this holiday season, you’ll definitely want to see this!

To build this list you will need the Combat Patrol box, a Palatine, one Battle Sister Squad, 2 boxes of Celestian Sacrestants, and one Repentia Squad. Much of a Sister team’s strength (flamers and melee) is going to be at short range so a mobile force has a better chance of kiting the opposing Sisters team and focusing fire on any long range threats before switching attention to close-range targets before they can close the gap. You’re going to have to wait until January for the big toys. Credit: Games Workshop Painting and Modeling Adepta Sororitas The Adepta Sororitas are the military wing of the Ecclesiarchy. Known by many as the Sisters of Battle, they are an army of pious and highly skilled warriors who purge heretics and enemies alike with their 'holy trinity' of bolter, flamer and melta. First off, it looks like every kit is going to be a monopose build. Similar to Shadowspear and Dark Imperium, this Box Set will be somewhere between ETB and multi-part. Basically, we’ll have a limited number of unique poses between each unit and they’ll only come with certain wargear. Battle Rites (1 CP): Select a Sacred Rite that is currently active and randomly roll a rite to replace it, re-rolling if that rite is currently active. Good if you find yourself having rolled for rites and ended up with a double, but withGreat Board Presence: Sisters have a wide variety of infantry options, pretty much all of which are sturdy and competitively priced, letting them control the board and objectives very effectively Her statline is pretty decent, especially when she sits there with 8 wounds, so she will be very durable but hard to target. Also with base S5 and T5 she will deal some decent damage and be pretty durable. Battle Sisters get access to a whole slew of specialisms but Comms, Medic, and Veteran are likely the three you’ll use most often on basic Sisters. I can’t imagine a situation where you’d want to waste your Zealot slot on a Battle Sister. Basic Upgrades

A very important thing to bear in mind as an implication of this is that whenever you lose any models in a unit with AoF, roll the morale test! Normally people just shortcut and don’t bother rolling tests they can’t fail, but it still technically happens, and now gives you a free chance to earn a Miracle dice in the morale phase. It also makes pulling off a wrap/trap/kill in the enemy fight phase extremely valuable as it earns you an extra die. Performing an Act of Faith One benefit of running Pious Vorne is that you can squeeze in 5 specialists in addition to your obligatory leader, which is interesting. On the other hand, you’re giving up the Zealot slot which is a pretty important one and may be better served on an Endurant or Repentia. Cost-wise, she’s slightly more expensive than either of those two options so ultimately you have to decide if the flamer and extra specialist slot are worth the trade-off. Gottfret de Montbard A psychic power is resisted by a unit from your army with the AoF ability (without performing an AoF to do so)

Dionycia’s Method

I mean we spoiled that up above, but yeah, Sisters are one of the best armies in the game right now, and have a diverse and powerful enough range that we don’t see that changing any time soon. Special Rules
