A herbivore from the Late Cretaceous Era (76-73 Million years ago). There were many fossils found in Alberta , Canada, New Mexico, and Utah, USA. The first fossil records were in 1902, but there was a lot of confusion on if the fossils were from another dinosaur that had been previously found. Once it was 1922 a man by the name of William Parks found a skull and that same early partial bone structure, in Alberta . After putting the pieces together it was proven true that the old fossil record was indeed a Parasaurolophus. Parasaurolophus was one of the many dinosaurs created by InGen on Isla Sorna for Jurassic Park that later went wild. It is presumed that most of the clones history was the same as the first three films. One Parasaurolophus was known to have had green and blue scales and was apparently nocturnal. [15] Comfortable Companion: Dinosaur (Parasaurolophus) hug toy presents a super soft, cute & adorable build that is comfortable to hug during sleep. Kids, teens & adults love these classic & collectible comfy critters. This same Parasaurolophus was startled by the arrival of Simon Tunney and his group on Isla Sorna. [16]An alternate opening to The Lost World: Jurassic Park was for a Japanese fishing boat to pull up a Parasaurolophus carcass in its net, to which the net breaks from the weight of the carcass and disappears into the waters below. [22] Paul Mejias supervised the construction of this sculpture [23] and even though this alternate opening scene never made the final cut, the eighteen-foot carcass was still used in the film in the scenes taking place in the Tyrannosaurus nest and the boneyard. [24] It was later repainted for Jurassic Park III [25] to represent the carcass that the T. rex was eating. [26] InGen's Dinosaur Information guide leaked by DPG. It states that "[Parasaurolophus] appear to stay pretty close to other large herbivores for protection."
