Venom’s teeth and mouth are superb, and I’m amazed at how well Adam Grabowski managed to infuse the design with so much of Venom’s personality, especially with the simple but inspired use of the tongue piece and being able to swivel it around. I fixed that by putting a tape cover on the inside. Just a thin one to not compromise the inner head protection. You can put on the outside too but it will not look nice. Build [3]– The build was quite brisk, had some interesting techniques and kept me engaged throughout

There are some “sharp” angles that look a little awkward, especially around lower jaw but they aren’t that noticeable unless you specifically go looking for them.

Innovation [4]– Techniques for the mouth and teeth are great, especially with the great use of colour, shadows and contrast This kind of helmet isn't designed for aerodynamics and as a result, you'll really hear the wind hitting against your lid. The Venom has a really large visor that offers great peripheral vision and a reasonable amount of vertical vision too.If you are generally happy with the fit, leave the helmet on for a good length of time to ensure it is not pressing in places that are not immediately apparant. If a helmet is really pressing on your forehead this can sometimes cause a headache over time so it may be worth trying another size or brand. But the independent helmet testing folks at SHARP in the UK hadn’t tested any Simpson helmets. Until now.
