About this deal

The included handle is made from plastic but fixes nicely to the adapter using a standard tripod mounting thread. It is comfortable to hold and really does help with aiming and keeping your phone and thus the image steady and thus I can see myself using it not only for this thermal camera and my phone but also with my standard camera when I am looking for something a little more compact than a tripod. Recording I have always found it challenging to find animals in binoculars, with a flashlight, after spotting them in my Pulsar. I did attach an alignment aid for a laser pointer, which helped, an approach that does not look feasible with the T2. However, by the end of the Borneo trip I felt I was actually doing better with the T2. When held at arm’s length, I could match what I saw on the phone screen with the real scene behind the phone. I could even use it while walking. And I really appreciate not ruining dark adaptation in one eye as when using the Pulsar.” Mids are pleasant. I can’t really say how neutral these earphones should have sounded, because of the strange frequency response that came out by enhancing the treble, but I believe that the original idea was having a neutral, slightly V-shaped sound. Mids are, in fact, just a little recessed, but when it comes to hear them it’s a good listening experience. They are the best frequencies that come out of the T2 Pro. Bass is not bad, it’s just undertone. There’s one thing that most audiophiles hate, using the EQ. This is, for me, the case to use it. Try to turn up the bass and down the treble. The electric “work” on the signal helps with the attenuation of the sibilance, too. It won’t be the most hi-fi experience ever – you will never have it with these IEMs – but they become hearable. I think you can use an attenuator like the iFi ones, that’s a more elegant way to improve the sound experience of the T2 Pro. Worth noting here is the phone also comes with a Night Vision camera and IR illuminator which enables you to see in complete darkness. This means you have both thermal and NV options all in one device, as well as a top-end and very rugged smartphone with all that it can do! Upgrade to a new phone by buying the Vivo T2 Pro 256 GB 8 GB that is available at the best prices online on Gadgets Now. Launched on September 2023 (Official) in India, the mobile is available with striking features and adequate specifications at an introductory price of Rs 27,999.

We've been talking about an IEM which costs about 50 USD to 60 USD, which is not a very high amount. Even so, there are so many options in this price range, that every option needs to come with something of their own, to justify their existence. Once properly driven, the Tin HiFi T2 sounded much more like a proper Chi-Fi IEM. Good extension, tight bass, and clean voices. But too much treble again. It’s a shame as you can clearly hear micro-details, hiding behind those 6-8kHz boosts. The modern phone experience is incomplete without a great camera. The primary 64MP rear camera on the vivo T2 Pro 5G features OIS, which minimizes the effects of shaky hands or small movements while capturing photos or recording videos. It also enhances the sensor’s ability to gather more light in low-light conditions. The Super Night Mode takes full advantage of this additional stability by utilizing advanced AI algorithms to capture stunning night scenes, even those with complex light sources.

Vivo T2 Pro 5G Specs

When they came to me, I had a Massdrop Plus and a Campfire Comet, both substantially more expensive IEMs. The problem was, I don’t typically use closed IEMs very often. They both were legitimately better IEMs than the Tin Audio T2, but the T2 was close enough. And they were 6X and 4X, respectively, cheaper than the higher end ones I already owned. So, I ended up selling them both. This, again, was not due to the T2 being better, it isn’t. Let’s make that clear. It was a value vs performance vs needs proposition, and the T2 did enough for me that allowed me to save money to spend on other hobbies. They isolate ok, not that well, and they are more open than most IEMs, especially with this much venting, but this helps a lot with the comfort as the vents mean you don't get driver flex, you don't get discomfort when pulling them out, and you don't get discomfort basically at any moment of using them (provided they fit for your ears). While we listened to considerably more songs than those named in this playlist, those are excellent for identifying certain aspects of the sound, like PRaT, Texturization, Detail, Resolution, Dynamics, Impact, and overall tonality. We recommend trying most of the songs from this playlist, especially if you're searching for new most, most of them being rather catchy. My current phone is the AGM G2 Guardian, which I would say is the current leader in the field of thermal smartphones.

Features

Based in Guangdong, China. TinHifi, formerly known as Tin Audio is an IEM maker with a strong experience in OEM/ODM. In 2017, they decided to lift the veil and become a real brand, with a small, but solid line-up. We previously reviewed the T2, T3, T4 from the same series, and we even had the chance to get our hands on the P1, the flagship of the brand.

This is not much of an issue with the T2. I always turn the brightness to zero on my pulsar scope but it still can take me a few seconds to readjust to the darkness when I take if away from my eye. But as the T2 is held at arms length, not pressed to your eye, this really wasn’t an issue. So there are lots of benefits to this camera. But – as I think everyone who has used a thermal scope will agree – there is a pretty steep learning curve when you start using a thermal camera. A learning curve in three dimensions (so a learning sphere?). Also note that despite the very similar name, AGM mobile is not connected in any way to AGM Global Vision the makers of the ASP micro thermal monocular! Conclusion I think the best way for me to sum up the InfiRay Xinfrared T2 Pro Thermal Eye is to say that much like an SLR camera versus the camera on your phone, this device obviously can’t compare to a high-end thermal imager, but the build quality, ease of set-up and use as well as the performance is far better than what I had expected.Comfort is good but not amazing. The T2 Pro's housings are a traditional barrel shape with a small protrusion at the end to accommodate the MMCX ports. They are fairly long and weighty, though should you choose to wear them cable over ear as is intended, the weight is fairly evenly distributed around the ear. I can wear them for long periods no problem, but they do require adjustment every once in a while to reset the seal. The Bass and mids pretty much match exactly as the T2. What has changed in measurements, is the upper mids and treble/treble extension. The IEM still has a massive drop off in the further audible treble region, but what has changed is a good boost from about 1.5KHz and beyond. This is where vocals and the higher frequency instruments come into play, as well as the extra clarity, detail and air impressions come in. The mix of seven ear tips (T2) or ten (T2 Pro) covers most of the bases. Foam, soft, and hard rubber, in most sizes. Because I’ve got sensitive ears, the soft-edged rubbers are great. If you got on with the AX-60, you’ll get on with the T2 and T2 Pro. They fit well, hold firmly onto their ear pads, and are large enough and jut out of the ear enough to make removal and insertion easy. Evidently, you’re supposed to be able to wear them with the cable either hanging down or over the ear.

This display boasts a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and offers a maximum global peak brightness of 1000 nits and a maximum local peak brightness of 1300 nits, thus ensuring that your content has the right pop and looks wonderful. The screen is certified by SGS for Eye Care Display, which implies that you can enjoy all that awesomeness without worrying about straining your eyes. Capture the brilliance of night! Thus using the photography analogy again, pro photographers will still use an SLR camera to get the very best results, but for the average casual user, the camera on most cell phones is certainly sufficient and you can often get surprisingly good results with it. You can zoom in – using your phone’s screen – from the standard 2x up to 15x. I have never found the zoom feature – on my pulsar or with this camera – particularly useful for mammalwatching in the forest at least, though given the range and quality of this camera it might be a different story when you are watching distant animals in savannah. At the other extreme the T2 allows me to focus in much more closely than my current scope, which doesn’t register anything nearer than about 2.5m/8ft. The T2 clearly shows my hand just 30 cm/12″ in front of the camera. Now, to start with – what is it that makes the vivo T2 Pro 5G a performance champion? Well, at the heart of the phone lies the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7200 mobile platform that is built on TSMC’s power-efficient 2nd gen 4nm process and aims for an Antutu score of 700,000+! This means that the phone should be able to handle all the heavy-duty tasks like a pro, without even breaking a sweat or being harsh on the battery! Here I don't have to say so many words, because everything that makes up the T2, the T2 Pro also has in its luggage with a small, but far-reaching difference. This means that I can have all the parts set up and ready to go any time I need them and all I need to do is attach my phone to the clamp and then plug in the cable and I am off viewing and recording thermal images and video. The Mount & Handle In summary, comparing the T2 with my Pulsar scope for me it wins on size, image quality, animal detection, plus a massive win on price. Tin Audio (now Tin Hi-Fi, if I'm not mistaken) is one company among many in the saturated Chinese Hi-Fi scene. Little is known about them; I honestly couldn't find much info at all on Tin (even with my semi-strong Google-fu) net-wise. One thing known for certain, though, is that earlier this year they released one of the biggest hits within the "budget" inner-ear monitor ranks with the T2. Tin had a couple of releases before this (the T515 and the also well-received T1), but neither of these earphones received the herald and popularity that the T2 was given and gained.
