In Generation V games, Klink's battle animation shows that its faces spin at a greater speed than its gear teeth. This is inconsistent with its evolutions, whose gears and faces rotate at equal speeds. It's suspected that Klink were the inspiration behind ancient people's invention of the first gears. Moves marked with a double dagger (‡) can only be bred from a Pokémon who learned the move in an earlier generation. Multiple Klink made their main series debut in Evolution Exchange Excitement!, where they were seen inside Chargestone Cave along with a Klinklang.
