About this deal

speaking of the next book... just give me NikoBran🤲🏻 idc about anyone else at this point. other than mild curiosity for Eli and Ava. Due to the fact that I only speak when it’s absolutely necessary and after I allow my brain to mull over my words, I notice things. Patterns, lingering gazes, and unresolved obsessions. I loved Annika and Creig Since God of Malice, she is the sweetest and not afraid to go after what she wants and I fell in love with her love for her family, it was the most beautiful thing to see. I’m about to barge inside and abort his plan, but I stop when Bran reaches a hesitant hand to Nikolai’s…hair. and im still living in my delusional era rooting for Landon and Jeremy, okay. don’t try to dissuade me. im too far gone at this point, all hope is lost. don’t crush my dreams!! Cecily and her fugly shirts can step aside :)

It was easily a five star read for me and I just can’t stop thinking about what’s going on between Jeremy & Cecily and Eli & Ava respectively. There were definitely a few similarities with Creighton and Annika’s romance to their parents, which I actually really loved. Creigh and Anni served the grumpysunshine, he doesn't talk & she doesn't shut up SO FLIPPING GOOD. Their story did not go where I thought it was going to AT ALL which I LOVED cause I hate when I can predict the story and twists and whatnot. I am obsessed! This is literally one of my favorite books of the RK world- I just adored it. It’s just such a compelling and addictive story- the character arcs, the drama, the intricate ways the secondary characters come into play, the chemistry. But most of all, it’s surprisingly sweet, Rina’s most darkly swoony with some epically romantic Romeo and Juliet vibes. I really liked creig's voice especially when he says small purple, I'm not going to lie and I'm going to confess that I didn't like the voice of the actress who plays annika, not that the actress doesn't do a good job because yes she's amazing more for feeling that doesn't suit annika.Sorry, but I think Annika shooting him was THE FUNNIEST MOMENT OF THE ENTIRE BOOK. Someone pls tell me that Rina wasn't writing that scene with a straight face. I was choking from all the laughter as Annika was sobbing her heart out, maybe I'm a psychopath after all because that scene — First of all, I need to talk about how I've waited so long for this book and in the last week before its release, I couldn't do anything but think about this book.

But just thinking about finding my favorite thinks AidenElsa, yes they are my favorites and Eli is my 2nd gen love so imagine how I was and not to mention I love Adrian Lia. The two of them glare at each other, or more like Ava does, while he keeps that perfect smirk in place. ❞ Yes, I continue to treat people nicely, remember their names and ask about their last social media post, but it’s all part of a feigned behavior. Whatever drew me to them in the first place has long since shriveled and died.I will say though, there were a few subplots that weren’t as explored as I would have liked and somewhat rushed at the end, like Annika’s OCD. The scene where he claims her in front of everyone was amazing. He tells them they have gone on dates and can't help but touch her for everyone to see then kisses her so they know she is his. mild OW-H goes to a smex club. There are two naked girls there for him and his sadist cousin, who likes to inflict pain just like the H. The H ends up leaving the scene when he keeps picturing the h (he doesn’t even get near the OW). This is before they’ve done anything

I want to start this review by saying that the narrators did a fantastic job with this audiobook! Their voices fit perfectly to the characters and really brought them to life. Annika has become one of my favorite FMC's, her mom Lia is still at the top though and the Deception Trilogy still reigns supreme and seeing Adrian made me scream way too loud. He was still madly in love with Lia, madly obsessive and possessive and of course madly protective. I loved that we got both his and Lia’s POV chapters. I'm really sad and annoyed with all the universe, the second generation is honestly a bunch of spoiled rich kids who Rina is trying to force mental illness (like Annika saying she has OCD, I have OCD and this isn't OCD bitch) to justify the bad behavior ( and they look like toddlers doing pranks). Someone tell Miss Rina that putting on a façade of sunshine and being sunshine are two completely different personality types. To be fair I don't think this is the worst RK's book. Not by any means. The story is your typical Rina Kent's book in its full unabashed cheesy glory. But the angst, the emotions the plot twist and all the demons surrounding our characters were so haunting and I definitely shed tears, you will too. They go on dates and spend more time together. He pretends to like her gross cooking and entertains her date ideas. He talks to her and opens up. That bathtub scene was heartbreaking. It was soo cute. As cute as Creighton 's possessiveness, JK. His brand of possessive was lethal , the "Touch her and Di€" kind.
