The most outspoken part of the X3's sound signature, is the vocals. They sound forward, no matter if it's darker male voices or the highest-pitched (female) voices. Singers sound clear and take a prominent role in the music, without overruling instruments or other frequencies. There's a good level of detail overall. The Edifier avoids the territory the highest highs - but boy, it comes pretty close. There's a lot of body and space in the treble, but the Edifier X3 never sounds too bright or too harsh - even in songs with lots of violin play or cymbals. Instruments like those and also guitars and pianos, get enough room to shine. I really hate how these manufacturers play with words when it comes to TWS earphones, saying that it has 20 to 25 hours of battery which means that 25 hours are only provided when you charge the earbuds 4 times with the case. Since switching to the TWS, You haven’t had to untangle your earbuds once, You haven’t caught them on door handles as you walked by, and they haven’t attempted to strangle you while you have a nap. Whether you’re out for a run, driving somewhere, just wandering around the city, or in the gym they’re unnoticeable. They just work. Yes, it has its fair share of problems. The bass quantity is probably too much for a lot of people, the midrange is shouty and I detect the treble straying into sibilance at times. But the Liberty 2 Pro really is my “guilty pleasure” listen in the sense that I absolutely love the bass presentation. It’s rumbly, it’s impactful and yet retains a sense of cleanliness not normally heard of in IEMs with this level of bass quantity.

In terms of design, the T4 certainly wins. The T4 is a lot smaller and the box is nicely rounded off with a more modern design. With a slightly boosted bass and prominent vocals, the Edifier X3 is a good sounding allrounder suitable for most music genres. However, the earbuds are missing one basic control: volume. There isn’t a way to wirelessly adjust the volume of your music, video, or phone call. And the controls are a little too sensitive — every time I adjusted an earbud in my ear, I accidentally paused my music, which definitely got annoying. QCY T5S review: Sound quality We found the QCY T5 and QCY T4 to be the best wireless earbuds of all these QCY tws. Good sound and a good microphone. The T5 is somewhat larger than the T4. The T4 has a nice little box and a super sharp design. The T5 has touch controls . The T4 has buttons that work very well. Unlike the QCY T3, the QCY T5 has very straightforward touch controls. It lost the function to slide over the entire stems to change the volume but works solidly in the basics.
