The new series will be written by How I Met Your Mother writer and producer Chris Harris and Life in Pieces writer Joe Cristalli. The comedy series, broadcast by NBC, left us nostalgic, but the announcement of a sequel made us take another deep breath.

As such, the possible Funko Pop Cheers line expansion leaves open plenty of additional options, including Carla Tortelli (Rhea Perlman), Coach Ernie Pantusso (Nicholas Colasanto), Lilith Sternin (Bebe Neuwirth) and Rebecca Howe (Kirstie Alley). There's also Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer), who's part of the Funko Pop Frasier set. The Frasier revival has been on the cards for several years but was finally confirmed last month, although it has not yet been revealed which original cast members might return alongside Grammer.

Frasier's younger brother Niles, played by David Hyde Pierce in the show, is also getting a figure, with his character straightening the collar of his own suave suit. CBS Studios president David Stapf has called Frasier"one of the most acclaimed comedies in modern television history", saying that it "truly defines premium storytelling". Delivery times to the UK were OK, given the added complication of Brexit, and there was a brief hold-up due to a query on the import paperwork. On... No release date for the reboot has been confirmed. In 2019 Grammer said the new series was “ready to go”, eyeing a mid-2020 release date, but no news of a firm date has since been set.
