The company says that it has been able to achieve this thanks to a new algorithm that processes inputs from a set of downward-facing time of flight (ToF) sensors, forward and downward dual-visual sensors, a built-in IMU, and a barometer. The design isn’t just more performant, but DJI also claims that the Ronin 4D is smaller and lighter than most cinema cameras that are mounted on a professional three-axis stabilizer. Natascha McElhone: An Actor's Process (1080i; 13:57) has quite a bit of footage from the film interspersed with interview snippets with the In the Roning Cutting Room - in this archival program, editor Tony Gibbs discusses his work on Ronin. There are some interesting comments about John Frankenheimer's flexible vision of the film as well as his directing methods. In English, not subtitled. (19 min). Ronin is presented on Blu-ray courtesy of Arrow Video with an AVC encoded 1080p transfer in 2.35:1. Arrow's insert booklet contains the massive improvement, though there are a couple of surprises (at least they were to me) along the way. Among the unexpected aspects is a still

DJI is best-known for its drones and gimbals, but it's been a camera innovator for a many years now too –and it's combined all of its experience and ideas into one unique product with the DJI Ronin 4D. Indeed, despite its contemporary appearance, the environment in which the drama unfolds very much reminds of the Cold War playgrounds Le Carre routinely recreated in his novels. In fact, De Niro's character reads each new situation as a fragment of precisely that kind of Cold War playground where everything is theater controlled by semi-visible and invisible puppet masters. Everything is prominent and powerful but in a balanced, believable manner. Dialogue is delivered with faultless clarity. It is well prioritized as it flows

47 Ronin 4K Video

Keanu Reeves' attempt to inject himself - and a whole load of CG fantasy - into an adaptation of the classic tale of the 47 Ronin proved a deeply flawed and misguided attempt to do something strikingly different. Frankenheimer was known for some of the best car chases ever committed to celluloid, like those in Grand Prix, and he’s rightfully heralded for all the chases in Ronin. The government of Paris helped the filmmaker make sure he had plenty of access to launch these claustrophobic sequences on skinny streets and tight turns with danger everywhere. And although Robert De Niro looks mostly mortified when the chases change to shots of his face, you’ll have a hard time not feeling exhilarated all the same. In Ronin, the story is always in motion, thus the characters must be as well. Storytelling on the fly is something Frankenheimer was terrific at, and a thing where many modern action filmmakers fall completely flat.

The company promises richer color grades regardless of lighting condition and even complicated situations are solved by DJI’s proprietary Cinema Color System (DCCS) which it claims can deliver natural skin tones and easily matches with different cinema cameras. The camera also features a built-in nine-stop neutral density filter. This was recorded for the original DVD release and it’s a great listen. The word ‘ronin’ comes from the lore of feudal Japan, used to describe samurai whose masters had been killed and who wandered the land in shame looking for redemption. The comparison is apt; Ronin’s protagonists are as enigmatic as the title implies. Less is definitely more here. In that vein, there’s no point in revealing more of the plot—you simply need to see it for yourself. Less dramatically boosted, but boosted nevertheless, are the movie's textures and overall clarity. The film was reportedly photographed at a resolution of 2.8K and finished at 2K. The
