The 2650e dehumidifier has a noise level of 46dB. This makes it one of the noisier refrigerant dehumidifiers on the market. If you want a dehumidifier to use while you’re sleeping or watching TV, the 2650e probably isn’t the best choice! This would mean that if the optimum is 47% you could chose 50% which means the dehumidifier will not run enough, or you could chose 45% it means the dehumidifier is running too much.Overall, the Ebac 2650e dehumidifier is a solid option for large homes. It has a large extraction capacity, 3.5 litre water tank and an effective automatic mode. Ebac are also experts at producing dehumidifiers for the UK climate, which is an often overlooked factor when choosing a machine.
As it’s over 10 years old, the Ebac doesn’t come with some of the advanced features seen on newer models. It also doesn’t include a laundry mode, although a boost option is available.The fault is actaully cause by the frost stat, the unit should freeze up, know its frozen hense the frost sensor then defrost producing the water. the frost stat is an NTC ( negative temperature coefficient 22K ) sensor that is attached to the side of the freezing coils. In my case the sensor was not inserted correctly and was manufactured with an inherant defect in reality. Because of this the coils over froze giving a problem with the coolant pump circuit, hense the flashing red light.

It has a hidden water tank that’s accessed by the front panel, which provides a smoother appearance than some of its competitors.
