Price: The Elite 800 is on the higher end of the price scale in comparison to other gaming headsets. The controls on the sides are far too easy to activate in error and this can result in some eventful moments mid gameplay. The whole of the left and right side plates have 8 buttons with control functions, and only the slightest touch activates them which we are confident most users will not be able to avoid. You can take measures to ensure this doesn’t happen, e.g. not lying down your head whilst playing or ensuing you pause before making any changes. Gaming Performance: We extensively tested the headset in various gaming scenarios, including fast-paced shooters, immersive RPGs, and competitive multiplayer games. Our aim was to evaluate its positional audio accuracy and overall gaming performance. It’s all the more jarring, then, that the Elite 800X has many small annoyances. The headset’s buttons are way too sensitive, meaning you end up changing settings or turning it on accidentally. Battery life is only just acceptable at 10 hours, meaning it’s possible to run out of power before the day is out. Wireless Connectivity: This headset is wireless and allows for easy movement and reduction of cable clutter.Bluetooth: Sound comes in clear. Syncing is easy just like any other Bluetooth device to your smart phone. For some reason I cant get it to work with skype correctly, but I hardly use skype anyway. For dedicated Xbox One fans, the Elite 800X is great. Setup is a breeze, wireless performance is excellent, and the magnetic charging station is a simple and elegant way to recharge your headset at the end of the day. If you’re a frequent traveller, active noise cancellation is a luxury that soon becomes a necessity.

Im direkten vergelich würde ich klanglich und vorallem wegen dem vorhanden umfang auf jedenfall zum Elite 800 greifen! As we mentioned above, the mic monitoring isn’t the best – its just not strong enough and difficult to hear your own voice. In addition the mic isn’t the best and we had to make an adjustment to the mic volume in the PS4 to compensate. We would expect the best at this price but we would not go so far as to say they are major issues, the mic does work competently. The microphone is the only thing that I feel could be improved. It's not a boom mic, it's just a hole in the shell of the left ear cup which results in a slightly distant sounding voice. I would advise you set the microphone level on the PS4 to about 75% for your friends to hear you normally. The mic monitoring (hearing your own voice in the ear cups) is definitely noy as strong as it was in the PX22s and sadly cannot be adjusted. But it does still function and should be enough to stop you shouting at the screen too loudly. Tritton headsets do not have this feature at all so I'm just glad they still implemented it.
